300 per day, but the research is unclear. Anything between 150-300g per day seems to do the trick if your 230lb and exercise frequently. Protein intake seems to be even more important if your doing a body recomp than if you are just building muscle because the increased protein intake prevents muscles loss when you are losing weight
I eat 3lbs/day and am quite muscular at 5' 7" and 190. 2lbs maintained the size I had pre-carnivore eating ~200g per day from chicken, eggs, and protein powder. Now that I'm eating 3lbs, I'm getting both leaner and bigger, it's great.
@Surveyor ground beef is an inefficient way to get protein, even when it’s really lean, it still has considerable fat. Lean meat like chicken is much better. And then there’s always protein shakes, two of those can give you 150 right off the bat. I’m gonna experiment with it, see what happens when I eat a lot of protein
