Hello, so before i start, yes, i have been on LaidonTinder .com and still i would like some tips to see if im doing things right. I only recently started using Tinder last week and have only gotten 4 matches thus far.

The first thing i would like to ask is if really posting a song lyric as an opener works? Ive asked a few of my female friends and the girl i was recently dating and they all told me it sounds silly and dumb (take note argentine women are way more 'poserish' type but watever). Currently i have a brief description of what im studying (im 22) and a half dozen of my likes. Is this ok or not ok?

second thing id like to ask is if this is a good first pic (and im curious, would i be considered a good looking dude?) : http://imgur.com/fDN0cDW

and here are the other 3
1: with friends - http://imgur.com/4VoEfHz
2: on a boat - http://imgur.com/PfuraQZ
3: showin a bit of muscle (i do work out often) - http://imgur.com/pPAusYK

Advice please bros :X ?

Darklarik,

Don't worry about the openers, online game is 95% pictures and judging by your pics I can see why you only have 4 matches. If you want to thrive online you have be ruthless when choosing your pics. First thing I'd recommend is getting a trendier hair cut. Your look is pretty average which will get you little in terms of results. Look at the guys in your city that are with hot girls. You will start to see patterns in their overall look - hair, fashion, and facial hair. Now you know what to aim for.

Next, have someone take a ton of pictures of you. Once you have a hundred or so pictures of your new, edgier self, you pick a few that make you look your best. Darius has a great article on how to obtain good pics that you can use online.

Have fun taking pictures!

A couple things:
1. If you can, get your pics professionally done. You can either pay for that, or you can just post an ad on craigslist. A lot of aspiring photographers will do it for free. If you do this, I guarantee you your tinder will blow up.
2. Girls hate selfies. Even if you look good in the pic, just the fact that it's a selfie is a turnoff. Especially if it's with your phone.
3. Pay attention to your facial expressions in your pics. It's important (e.g. in your first pic, you like you're almost cross-eyed. Tbh, it makes you look kinda creepy or like there's something wrong with you. Girls notice this).
4. Definitely don't do the mirror bathroom selfie without a shirt on. Depending on your age group, you should consider avoiding shirtless pics altogether. If you're trying to attract girls in their mid twenties or older, cut it out entirely. If you're trying to attract younger girls, than keep it. But make sure its not a selfie.
5. The one with friends looks kinda sketchy. It's hard to tell which one is you, and there's way too much going on. Just choose one of the four pics. You don't need a collage of all of them.
6. Include a picture of you holding a dog or cat or some other pet. It's a HUGE bonus. Girls consistently say they'll match guys just for having that. And statistically speaking, this seems to be true.
7. Think about what kind of girls you want to attract. Get your pics done accordingly (i.e. if you want to attract fit girls, maybe do one of you playing a sport. If you want to attract ambitious, professional girls, consider one of you in a suit. etc.)

Yes, creating a good profile on Tinder will cost you a little bit of effort. You probably won't be able to do with just what you have on FB now. But it's well worth it. Especially if you live in a big city (i.e. you can easily get 2-5 dates a week with a good profile!).

The stuff on messaging and profile descriptions is mostly irrelevant. But the stuff on pictures is still very valid today.

Also, this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11121 - This one is just a bunch of stuff myself and other board members have tried out and found success with on Tinder. I'd recommend reading through it.

Getting professional pictures done is definitely money well spent, however selfies can also be effective when done right. Using an app called Square Insta is definitely required to make selfies pop. I use it and so do all the hot chicks using Tinder selfies and it's free.

I also use the dreaded bathroom mirror selfie and it's been VERY effective, however you do need a top quality physique to pull it off.

What your pictures should convey is that you're a warm and approachable guy who is also super sexy.

Unfortuntely that's probably not too realistic. Especially not on Tinder. Your pictures communicate a lot about you. For example, if you put up a picture of yourself partying, some girls will think you're a cool laid back guy who likes to have fun. Other girls will think you're a "club guy" who wastes his life and does nothing productive. The same type of thing will occur with pretty much any other pic you post. So no matter what you post, even if it's just a picture of yourself and nothing else, it's always going to be polarizing (i.e. it'll get negative reactions from some girls, and positive ones from others). Pretty much the only type of picture which almost all girls like is the pic of you with a pet. And it sounds like you just put that up. Everything else is going to have a polarizing effect.

Furthermore, girls want to know who you are. If they can't tell who you are/what you do with your time, they're less likely to be interested. Cause to them you'll look like another bland, boring Tinder guy with nothing of interest going on in his life.

So, I recommend you figure out what kind of girl you would prefer, and amplify this polarizing effect. Do this by posting stuff that girls like her would like.

One of my eyes does actually move slightly to the side unfortunately
Not too sure what you can do about that. :/ Maybe take a pic where you're looking at where that eye would normally go? That way they might look aligned. If you can't do anything about it, I wouldn't worry too much. Cause tbh, this probably won't hurt you too much. As long as the rest of your profile is ok, you'll do fine.

In that case, I recommend having a friend with a good camera take pictures of you. That'll still put you above 90% of the guys on Tinder.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
