Will be there soon for school. Anything I should know while traveling? Things I should look for? Places I should definitely check out? Anything you think may be useful i’m glad to read.

Me and @DoWhatWorks are locals.

Lots to do here, endless amounts of girls, of various types and flavours. All depends on what you're looking for and the experiences you're trying to have.

Let us know, and we can give you some pointers.
Perhaps even grab a drink if you're up for it!

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take

@topcat Will definitely remember to look you up when I get settled in! Right now I plan on letting the wind take me and getting lost in the new sights.

I know a few people out there too, that I plan to ping when the time comes. But if you or @DoWhatWorks have any poi’s for someone new to the city i’d be grateful. I’m pretty open minded when it comes to experiences.

Cool! For nightlife I'd suggest bars and clubs around Shoreditch, Dalston, Camden, Brixton, Clapham, Peckham. @DoWhatWorks would know of the better districts in west London, but I don't have much experience with these.

Welcome @SunKing you will have a lot of fun here.

I’m copying and pasting my answer to Gaturro as it was thorough & you may benefit too:

Hi bro, sending recommendations as requested:

If you’re looking for places that are easy to get into and have good girl / guy ratios I recommend “cute” cocktail bars. E.g.

- “Tequilla Mockingbird” (Multiple venues)

- “Be at One” a little basic & can be touristy but good (Multiple venues but I recommend Soho)

- “Blame Gloria” very girly bar so go with a cool wing or even another girl (Convent Garden)

- “Dirty Martini” (Multiple sites but recommend Convent Garden)

- “Simmons” (Multiple sites, I like the smaller one in soho, bigger one is a sausage fest)

If you have a cool Instagram, or connections you can try these much harder Mayfair clubs. You’ll have to DM promoters and I’d recommend going on a quiet day e.g. Tuesday/Thursday as non-recognised guy on Saturday is a recipe to get declined.

if you get in - you get rewarded with even better ratios than the above bars and/or free drinks on £20-£50

- Libertine > R&B / Hip Hop venue popular with black guys and girls who like black guys

-Maddox > Mainstream with a specific house room

- Toy Room > R&B Hip Hop and popular with Italians

Good luck!

Bookmarked and saved, i’ll be swinging that way around September or so but i’m sure this’ll be helpful.

Hey @DoWhatWorks I bookmarked yours as well. Look forward to seeing what your country/cities about. Thanks for the poi’s.

This is a nice thread. I'm going to be in Camden on Friday and Saturday. Any recommendations? I like trift stores, parks, alternative/ rock/ hipster as well as trashy/ touristy nightlife venues. Unfortunately I'm on a budget.

@topcat @DoWhatWorks if you have anything to add or anyone else, much appreciated.

Camden on Friday and Saturday

Camden’s fun & quite central too - nice

alternative/ rock/ hipster

Not my scene unfortunately so wouldn’t want to give bad recommendations

@topcat may be able to help on the hipster side

trashy/ touristy nightlife venues

Bar Rumba - if you don’t mind Latina/Reggaeton music

Piccadilly Institute & Tiger Tiger - Very mainstream, touristy / cheesy. Multiple floors etc. Expect girls with flamethrowers & £20 entry. Not my scene at all but I’ve known people to enjoy it

if you’re in Camden I think your best bet would be travel round the high street on Friday afternoon/ early evening. Go into places that look interesting & talk to a couple bartenders and doorman, they’ll point you in the right direction for your scene.

Enjoy!
