I don't want other people to be able to see my profile on Tinder. I want to hide it like you can on POF.

There is an option to turn off a "Show me on Tinder" button

If you hide your profile, potential matches can't see or like you. You can't message people unless you match, so it'd be no point in hiding your profile.
