Can you smile too much?

Hey guys.

Today let's speak about the fabled smile.

I'm walking this girl home and we're talking about how corrupt a city can be and how anybody can be easily targeted. Then she tells me that I'm usually the type of guy criminals target because of the way I'm always smiling.

She even says I smile when I'm alone.

I hear a lot of people telling me about how I smile a lot. And a lot of em tell me I smile when I'm alone as well.
Is this something I need to change? Can it affect my interactions with people?

It depends on how you smile. Chase talks about a sexy smile vs. a friendly smile involving less teeth and less broadness. I'm still unsure how they know you smile when you're alone, but regardless, smiling generally means you're just a happy guy. But excessively it can come across as supplicating or even naive when combined with other behaviors.

If I were you, I wouldn't stop but I'd keep an eye on it. Try not to show teeth when you smile, try not to smile as if you're trying to make people like you, and work on your smile in the mirror - if you've got to smile, make it sexy!

I can confirm that changing the way I smiled was the one little tweak I learned reading GC, that brought me big rewards.

Unlearn this broad, satisfied friendly smile who says "I'm just a happy chap and no harm to anyone".

Instead, learn this slow, half smile, mouth closed or very slightly open. It is *half smile* that gives an air of mystery and seems to say "I know more than you know", the sort of smile that goes very well with a wink. It doesn't communicate happiness. It communicates smartness and sexy vibe.

That second smile will give you way better results with girls, but also in general in society.
