I've been frequently receiving comments from females at work that I'm 'cool & calm' and nothing seems to unsettle me. Now my work team has shared feedback with my director that they can't gauge my mood. Is that a good or bad sign?
Some guys have more trouble reining in their emotions; others have more trouble expressing them.
Few guys have perfect emotional expression straight out of the gates.
Sounds like you probably fall more on the less expressive end of the scale... so the challenge for you will be communicating enough of the right kind of emotion when you want to communicate that.

Thanks chase for your response. Yes, I've been working hard on your four tenets of coolness and law of least effort. Being in the position of power that I am, a lot of plotting is happening behind my back to see my reaction and get an incorrect action out of me to bring me down therefore my opponents are currently clueless of my next move. i am deliberately unpredictable and honestly deceptive. My Sigma male characters adds an extra flavor to create a mysterious personality.
IMO it’s a dangerous game going off of others feedback like that. Cool & calm, and not being able to gauge your mood could mean many things.
I say this because the base of your frame control will stem from how much you know yourself and your intentions. When people try to knock you off balance with their opinions, it helps to know how valid their opinions actually are when it comes to you.
I’ve gotten the same thing before. It’s best to take it with a grain of salt description wise and just go off of the results that it nets you. It also helps to know what you’re trying to accomplish in your behavior. Do you show enthusiasm at appropriate moments, like when someone else is happy to see you do you embrace them with the same enthusiasm and energy?
Having the ability to be expressive when the time calls for it and choosing not to when it doesn’t is different from never being able to or not communicating what was intended. I’d look at how people respond to you as a whole versus what someone said in a specific instance.
