Nothing is more embarrassing to a man's manhood or insulting to a woman than not being able to get it up. After all, the phallic symbol is the universally recognized and used symbol for masculine potency. What do we do when this happens to us and how do we deal with it? It happened to me last night. I would say out of all my times of sexual encounters I can only remember a few where Willy wouldn't stand erect. The most common cause for me was usually stress and/or sickness. I don't believe that performance anxiety was an issue as I have never had a problem with performance. This is what made it incredibly frustrating -- knowing what I was capable of and had did hundreds of times and not being able to do it. Especially since it was the first time with this girl. I did however get her off twice with my hand and she seemed great, but it still concerns me. There was a multitude of factors that contributed last night in retrospect: allergy problems dragging me down, lack of sleep, couldn't exercise fully because of allergies, some stressors, a bit of alcohol, and I had been in a place where I couldn't fully escalate but did get hard several times before I had arrived to a place I could. The worse thing that I believe a man can do after this happens to him is think about it the next time. Today I weight trained and did cardio. Feeling a lot better. I am going to get better sleep, worry less, and think more sexual thoughts.
So I ask you GC, have you ever had this problem and how did you deal with it?
