Recently I've been dating this girl for three months. She has been complaining about how I was NOT so responsive in my texting. I've made the mistake of texting her more after this, even though I held my frame when she addressed this. After our talk, her texts have been less emoticon filled than before and it seems to me she sort of talks either more direct or take me for granted now.
So recently, she normally responds to my texts within the hour. However, yesterday she didn't respond until a day later, with the response, "Duh" and then "How's thanksgiving". This was in response to me seeing if she made it to the city to see her family, as currently we are both traveling in different cities.
I take the "Duh" as disrespect but do not know how to respond back or what the best course of action would be. By responding and not addressing it, it would seem I would accept this from her and lose some power. By responding and addressing it directly, like saying how she's being disrespectful, may seem too much on my end. I also have thought to just ignore it, but may drive her deeper into it.
Can anyone tell me how to handle this? I've read the post by chase on relationship bitchiness/testing but don't know how it would apply this this. Thanks!
