Hey there.

Next week I am taking some vacation and planning to go to east coast USA between Boxing Day and New Year. I'm into the gym and lifting scenes and I'd like to meet women who are also into fitness and bodybuilding. It's much bigger for women in the USA than here in the UK.

I might spend a few days in Miami and a few days in New York, and just enjoy some holiday time and training in different hardcore gyms. I'll be travelling alone.

There's a New Year's Eve gym party that I thought it would be cool to go to, to meet more people in this environment, have fun, and maybe meet women: https://thewarhousegym.com/blogs/news/3 ... he-baileys

I have a few questions about this.

1. In general, if I see a hot girl either in the gym, or out and about, is it good to go up and say, hey you're cute/gorgeous/beautiful/sexy and let's get a drink together later. Or is this creepy? What's a good approach, and WHEN is a good/bad time? How do you tell if a girl who maybe hasn't even noticed you likes the look of you? All dates I've been on so far I've arranged without cold approach, e.g. using online dating so I'm unsure about cold approach.

2. There are a lot of fitness model women I follow on instagram, and sometimes I message them in reply to their story or add a comment to a post. If there's someone I've had a little contact with in this way, what do you think about sending them a message to say, "hey I'm over from England and I'm going to be in your area next week. I like your style and I'd love to meet up with you while I'm around. Are you free to get together for a drink?" Is this a good or a bad idea? Some of these women have pretty big followings so they are not short of choices I imagine. But if that happened, and even if it was only a drink and a chat about training or whatever and didn't lead anywhere, that would still be fun and a positive experience. However I don't want to appear like a creepy stalker.

3. What's a good way to be at this NYE party?

You can see MY instagram profile @tobysharp_. I have a lot going for me but I'm still working on my fundamentals, my confidence with women before I know whether or not they are into me, body language, etc.

Thanks for advice.

Hi Samson ,

My mentor in the gym was a British guy living in the USA. From what I saw American girls perceive British guys to be of higher value. A British accent tends to lower the bitch shields girls in the east coast normally tend to have in gyms. He would start with a simple hi and talk to them about training regiment, his days as a pilot at the RAF , etc. He would talk about nutrition importance and how most people do not realize this. He would proceed to tell the girl that he was planning to cook a healthy meal after the work out. His place was just a few blocks from the gym. He would just tell the girl she is welcome to join him after work out. If the girl could not make it that day and if she does not offer a different day that she wants to come over he would move on. Wanted to send this template to see if it may be of help to you.

Happy Holidays mate.

Thanks dcman, that's great! I always seem to get more positive attention in the USA compared to the UK. Not just the accent, but other social factors I think. I think a 10-20 year age gap is not such a big deal there that it would be in the UK.

I will keep that template in mind, and try something along those lines if the opportunity arises. Thanks once again, I appreciate it.

Above I asked about reaching out to someone I haven't met in person and asking for a meet-up. I thought about this and decided that there was nothing to lose, and at least I'd learn something. So I messaged this woman saying,

"Hey I will be over on the east coast from England next week and training in several different gyms. I'd love to meet you. Let me know if you will have any time for that :)"

And I got a reply back, saying:

"Hey! That's great! U will have lots of fun. Let me know which area u end up visiting and I'll see what I can work out <weightlifter emoji>"

So what I am reading from that is ... she's being polite, but not really curious about me or interested to meet. But I lack experience so would value another opinion, and how to follow up.

Thanks!
