Dating when you have a kid

I searched the forum and site and only found posts on single mothers, not fathers. What if I'm the one with a kid? Do I even need to bring it up if I'm not that involved?

Not an issue if you don't have full or shared custody. Of course it is going to come up in conversation. But don't lead with it.

If you fathered a child who lives full time with the mother, and it is a first date you could say "no" and be mostly honest. But if you take time out of your life to be a father, then this woman needs to know that. The same as whether you have a job, a car, and a place to live.

You could say "Thousands. I was a sperm donor" and move on....

Me being a DAD even though he is older than most of you. Your child comes first you could have to leave in a moments notice for all kinds of reasons. Being up front about it shows a strong frame about handling your responsibilities. Now if you are a DEADBEAT dad what difference does it make go ahead and lie.
