What's your thought process right now for dealing with decisions and risk? Do you tend to be more impulsive? Do you tend to think through your decisions so much that you edge towards not being decisive? I'm sure that I or someone else on the board can help, but since everyone has a different personality, some people find certain approaches better than others. Can you give us a bit more info?
One example is business, online business and offline business.
For online business, whether it is trading or something else, I know what to do, I have done it before and i made money but i also halfway become complacent. For offline business, i keep attending seminars and i already know what's going on and how business conduct network marketing and internet marketing. Chase noted that you have to go solo on a business for a year, and i heed this advice to everybody. Most (if not all) business sell through campaigns, like music industry does. Royalties, rehashing old stuff, and free bonuses, selling books, memberships.
Important is, i know how things roughly work now, in terms of how things are run. The problem is i feel that most business are just in it for money, and some business noted "money back without questions asked". Some companies are just bullshit with their promises. I am not saying i am not in it for the money. But what companies do is that they close shop after 5 years. Most companies (a group of people) do a cycle.
Product-Recruit-Make Money-Close Shop.
Copywriting is another. If you can learn it, do it, because that's the last few things companies outsource. (Another reason why you should heed Chase advice on business as well, not just on copywriting but starting on your own and roughly know how things work, for a year.)
Summary, The important stuff
Do you tend to be more impulsive? I am more impulsive when there's a goal, and i want to be a part of it. The thing is, with business, the whole idea is to sell campaigns. I am not trying to say to people to not buy $3000 seminars. I am heeding Chase's advice again. YOu need to really know what you getting into, what you get from the seminar, and what is the least you can achieve, because there's too many people and you going to get caught up in the shuffle.
Do you tend to think through your decisions so much that you edge towards not being decisive? I did. The thing is even with girls. I need action now, at least. Basically, in the past, my action is 70% and my research is 30%. Now my action is 20% and my research is 80%.
I hope i can figure my indecisiveness. Even in my past two years looking for "God", i knew things were wrong, and i have trouble making a decision, because it's a constant thing, handling family members who are in cognitive dissonance by maintaining expectations, creating distance between you and them. You don't just put two rival religions (different belief systems) or two football club rivals together for a long time. You bound to clash even if i am that reasonable. But that's another matter altogether.
