FUNDAMENTALS

  • Whiten your teeth. Can't afford braces at the moment but I can at least whiten them.
  • Stand, sit, and walk with good and confident posture. Stand tall.
  • Get a pedicure. My feet could use a little work. I would never feel comfortable walking around someone barefoot with their current state. I have no pinky nails. I hate the way they grow so I shaved them off. I also have thick dead skin on my soles, heels, and toes. My job requires me to stand for hours on end. I didn't have calluses until I started this job. I'm working on getting a new one. I'm only thankful I don't have discolored or thick and cracked toenails. I keep my feet clean and moisturized though so at least they don't smell bad. Either way I feel my confidence can be boosted with a pedicure.
  • Buy new clothes. I have a handful of t-shirts. All of them have references to comic book characters. I literally have 1 pair of jeans I look good in. Slim fit. I have two pairs of work pants. When shopping for clothes buy sizes that aren't baggy but not so tight or feels uncomfortable. Especially in pants or t-shirts. Slim fit pants and a small t-shirt, v-neck, long sleeve shirt, and button down will do it. You know something simple.
  • Build muscle. Don't bulk up though. Short (I'm 5'6ish) and bulky will make me feel insecure.
  • Speak SLOWLY, clearly, and concisely. Develop resonance.
  • Continue being emotionally nonreactive to most things. Remain stoic (bored) or amused (or both) with a slight smile. Don't lose your shit in tough situations. Remain calm and see the bigger picture. I've been told more than once by different girls that I'm "their favorite" because "you're quiet" or I "don't talk". These are young girls (18-19) who are used to guys with false bravado, showboating, and grand standing. TL;DR: Don't be too easily impressed and don't try to impress.
  • Smell nice. Since started using Shea Moisture for my hair, I've gotten several complements on smelling good. BUT I also started using the new Kraken body wash and deodorant from Old Spice around the same time (about a month now). I don't know if people are referring to the moisturizer or the body wash when they tell me I smell nice. Either way they work so stick to em.
  • Speaking of hair. I've gotten compliments on my hair from people at work ever since started going to the barber down town. He picks my hair out (I'm blackish) and then cuts it as opposed to leaving it nappy and cutting it. When he's done I usually condition it to bring the curls back and use moisturizer. Even I have to admit I look a Fuck ton more decent when I do this. He charges me $20 per hair cut but he does a good job. I don't have a definite schedule with him though. So far I really only manage to go see him about once a month. This doesn't bother me though. I don't want to go every other week. Don't want to look TOO metro sexual all the fucking time.
  • My job requires me to stay clean shaven. Although I have gotten IOI's from females in the past with or without facial hair. I would like to grow my facial hair out at some point and get it styled maybe a jaw strap connected to my side burns and keeping my mustache. I've been called things from pretty, cute, handsome, good looking, and gorgeous from females of different ages. At the very least I know I have attractive facial features. I moisturize my skin daily, take multi vitamins, don't have acne or any other skin conditions, drink lots of water, don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, and I sleep a healthy amount. I don't look aged or worn out. I have my moms facial features so I look more feminine in appearance than most. I also look young for my age (in my mid 20s). So facial hair isn't a requirement but it's definitely something I can play with for variety.
