Eye contact as a person walks toward you?

I have no problem making eye contact with someone if I'm talking to them from close distance, but every time I have a person walking towards me from far away I don't know where I should be looking. I feel like if I keep staring at a girl walking towards me from far away I'm going to either look desperate or creep her out. Or if it's a guy he's going to think I'm gay or want to fight him. I read on this website that it is best not to scanning too much or look down, so where can I lay my eyes as a person walks towards me?

I think it's best to just look over everyone, most likely into the horizon with your chin parallel to the ground and also with good posture. As if your just a dominant motherfucker who chooses if someone is worth looking down at!

Smile at them when they get closer. You can even say "hi" if you want.

I would recommend a mixture of the above.

Look at something in the distance first (the horizon, a tree or a car). When the person comes closer (ca. 15 m) you can lock eyes and hold it until they look away. If they don't look away though, say "Hi!" or just pass them (then you necessarily need to look past them).

Don't give a f*** about what they think. Rather see it as a challenge for yourself. It's definitely no signal of being gay if you look into other mens' eyes. And men won't beat you up just because you look at them. Even less when you say "Hi!".

Girls will (almost) always look away first when you keep looking and she won't consider you as desperate or creepy -- just dominant and masculine!

Keep practicing this even though it may seem scary in the beginning
