Fumbled Texting to Setup Date (Double Text Follow up)

Got this girl’s number from the bar over the weekend. Texted her the next day to setup a time to meet but she had plans.

Waited a couple days and reopened her (Tuesday). She was responding very fast and clearly had high interest. I did a shitty job of leading the convo to us meeting up.

She didn’t respond after my “sounds like you’ve had a long day” text. So I went against my better judgement and double texted a few hours later trying to setup a time to meetup. I got no reply.

Should I have just waited a couple days and then reopened for a date?

At this point would it be worth it to send a skeleton gif after a couple days have passed or give her a call?

Me: nice meeting you last night, looking forward to giving you that pool lesson - my name

Her: Nice meeting you too

Me: you been up early chasing chickens or just relaxing on your Saturday?

Her: Not yet lol trying to get this coffee to give me energy. How about you?

Me: i bet you’re a macchiato kinda girl, i just got out of bed recovering from a late night lol

For reopening, his "Good morning " bailed me out of a similar situation today. Basically, do not double text. Wait until the next day and text her "Good morning" to ping interest. It is so low stakes, she is bound to come back. From there, banter to reignite interest, work towards the soft close, and schedule an in person meeting.

Women love persistence, so waiting too long will make her lose all interest.

Update*
I ended up meeting with this girl for my birthday at the bar. We spent most of the night together (along with friends stopping by our table from time to time).

She drove us back to my place, but was hesitant about going inside my apartment, which I had to convince her to come inside. I gave her a tour of my art and we kissed for a bit and shortly afterwards, she left and drove home.

At 4am she texted me the following:

Her: I had a really good time with you tonight. I hope I get to see you again soon and thank you for letting me spend your birthday with you!

Me (1pm the next day): i did too & it was a fun birthday! we can def make that happen i have a great idea

Her: You do?

Me: yeah, i give you a pool lesson while we watch the game

Her: I want to but I do want to hang out in public a few times first.

Me: that’s fine, we can go for a nice walk downtown

No response, so I waited a day and send her the ping this morning.

I’m confused as to why she would leave shortly after being at my place, then wanting to meet in public a few times when she’s already been in my place and hungout in public already. Is she trying to put me in the boyfriend category?
