There’s this girl I had been into and shown strong interest to but we just never had a chance to meet up properly, I had met her three times before through her friend and we become Instagram followers. I always asked my friend about her.

Last Saturday we met up at a party and I really moved in, I moved her to a place where it was just the two of us and escalated by touching and flirting. But the girl seemed to be in a trance, she kept repeating the same thing to me all night, like she had rehearsed it. She kept saying, “we can’t be together because you and I are different” like 5 times straight.
She did let me touch her but when I tried to kiss her she would move her lips away.

any insight and help with what was happening here would be appreciated.

It's a social frame issue. You are for her - not socially acceptable to hook up with. It could either be because of lack of social value, familiarity and rapport, or investment from her side. In your case, it seem like lack of familiarity and rapport.

For next time, try to get to know her values and who she is as a person, and try to match her values with the way you convey yourself + a lot of "me too" usage.

Yeah, I think that just not your type of girl. You can find somebody else and catch them in your nets. I know that ignoring could be a good strategy. Just wait about two weeks and don't text/call her and she'll begin wondering where did you go. But my advice will be: Just forget about her. There are so many girls who would like to chat, flirt and etc with you.
