Great ass as opener?

Haha! That's certainly a bold opener. I haven't done this but, thinking now about how I might try it, I would suggest (1) you want to see evidence that she's already in a good mood, and not noticeably with a guy, so might be receptive to playfulness, and then (2) do it with a cheeky smile and a slightly thoughtful, deliberate delivery. That way, she'd know that you know that you're pushing a boundary and she'd know you're doing it playfully but also mean it. At any rate, for my own character and style, that would probably be the best way I could create comfort and compliance with that opener. But guys with different styles might do it differently.
If giving the compliment early on, but not as an opener, I think I'd still do much the same. Keep it knowingly cheeky and playful, but with a deliberate enough delivery that, again, she also knows you mean it.
I might try this at some point just to see what happens. Hopefully not come back here with a Slap Report

It would be a high risk opener. Most of the time you will get blown out. You will end up shooting yourself in the foot with girls who aren't very attracted to you.
Why use this opener when there are plenty others that carry low risk?

Two reasons a) I am very much into risk taking nowadays guess I am entering the asshole phase and b) this bitch was swaying her ass for me I could fucking feel it and was checking me out

If she's with a guy, maybe say you weren't talking about her, rather you were talking about the guy she's with! Or have a picture of a donkey a your screensaver to be safe. Then just look and say "don't kink shame!".
