The poster may have meant male friends as well, but I wanted to create a separate thread for this specifically about female friends.

Do the female friends have to be attractive to you?
Do they have to be attractive to society?

Let's take fat chicks. If you're not attracted to them, could you be friends with them and would that help in the context of the above linked thread?
Let's take a skinny chick. If you are attracted to her, would you be able to handle 'just hanging out'?

Could preselection come into both examples above?

I guess sometimes I think that, if I don't want to be with her, why am I hanging out with her? And if she doesn't want to be with me, same thing.

YS meant something which Chase has also mentioned in at least one of his articles which is, as far as I can tell, befriending babes or dimes (the kind of girl you desire).

Befriending fat or otherwise ugly girls tends to be complicated as they will often fall for you and then get frustrated if you don't succumb to their declarations of love. Or try to cock-block you if you attempt to go for friends of theirs who are hotter or other girls in general in front of them.

The point of being lightly flirtatious and/or providing value to girls without attempting to extract their vaginas in return is that they will introduce you to girlfriends of theirs who might be up for getting with you and they will also give you access to various social circles.

AFAIK the current expert here on this is Glow and he was influenced by RSD Braddock.

In the comments section someone was kind enough to summarize the main benefits of having female friends so we won't have to watch the full 2 hours of this talk:

1) making female friends and not objectifying them and respecting them will get you more women not less, they'll introduce you to people, point out what you're doing wrong, etc.
2) most hot women meet their boyfriend through an introduction through a friend

For me, that's actually the main benefit of fucking attractive chicks. They'll point out all the shit you're doing wrong, because they want to be attracted to you (cause they only want to fuck and be with guys who are better than them (perception wise)). so if you do some try hard weird shit, they'll scold/ignore you for it, to the point where you end up getting rid of that behavior. Because you don't get rewarded from doing things in a certain manner. And then end up being more attractive to other girls.

About the second one, that's just a shortcut to being socially acceptable to fuck. Your vouched for by another female, so you've already got that key in place. Extra points if that other female also knows that you're a secret society member (you've talked about your sexual adventures, commonly speak in sexual innuendo, and haven't judged the friend when she's talked with you about other guys (and even offered advice/red pill wisdom on the situation)). then we're talking straight referral game. All that's required (meaning she don't gotta be hot herself) is that she's friends with a lot of attractive female friends.

Ugly/Fat female friend will also gossip to you about what are the other girls saying about the other guys or saying about you . This could serve as good intel and feedback to you

I am trying to get into some subcultures to bang better quality women.
I started helping a yoga teacher with her business in hopes of banging her but soon I found she is married so instead of stopping providing value and ejecting, I am trying to become her friend and get her help into joining that culture.

It's a win-win for both of us.
She gets my value and I get a friend that can give me hints on how her type thinks and introduce me to some hot chicks.

If this was a subculture I knew well, this would be a waste of time but right now a guide is pretty much what I need.
