How long did it take you to get off the ground?

This is a question for guys who have already gotten off the ground. I just read Chase's article Want Dates? Then Approach Girls, and I'm setting a goal for myself: to have, on average, 1 new girl over at my place per week (4 per month), and follow my process with them. To put this in ecommerce terms, the goal is to have enough traffic going through the funnel that I have 4 new girls on the buy page each month. I'd like to get some insight from guys who are ahead of me about how long it'll take to get there, and what milestones they reached and when.

The Question
How long did it take you, from the time you decided you wanted to improve your ability with women, until you started to meet women and follow your process with them at a steady rate? I don't necessarily mean when you started to get results (lays) at a steady rate; but rather that you started to regularly take risks and approach girls, and pushed yourself to set up a date with them, and escalated towards sex (even if you didn't get past LMR).

I'd say about 7 months from when I discovered GC/pickup to regularly inviting girls to a place where I'd escalate (I didn't have my own room until the ~18th month, so always her place or in public before that).

That's an exceedingly difficult goal unless you're already a guy who is extremely advanced. Are you already getting lays rather regularly? If you aren't getting lays regularly, you might want to set much smaller (achievable) goals first before you start setting goals that are beyond your capabilities.

Maybe a goal such as "get 20 phone numbers" in a month might be more reasonable. If you're already close to getting 4 new lays a month, then I'm not really sure that you would even need this website's help!

From about July until now. Did not begin cold approach till after I had worked on conversation and fundamentals for about 1-2 months after reading Chase's ebook. At the same time my life was immeasurably improved even by taking the initial steps and there were a lot of weird flukes/early successes that I did not really earn but kept me encouraged

If you ask me the single best thing a n00b can do (other than the n00b assignment) is to work on his conversation by engaging everybody he meets. Such as register chicks, shop assistants and the like. It will probably take a few months to get good at this, so you may as well start immediately. You absolutely cannot fluke a girl into bed without conversation skills even if you can occasionally with poor fundamentals.
