How many skills can/should you learn at once?

Hey guys,

I've heard from various sources that it's best to learn a skill completely before learning another. But if this was so, wouldn't you have to do nothing but practice that skill for 4-5 years before moving on to another one? How many skills are y'all currently practicing in addition to seduction/socializing? And if you are learning more than one effectively, how do you manage the work load ratio-wise?

Cheers,
Jake

I study spanish, recently launched an online blog, travel, exercise and of course meet women.

For me I prioritize things and always work on the most important ones.
I also study japanese, chinese, draw, produce music, play the drums, guitar and the list goes on.

I run the risk of spreading myself to thin, so I keep anything of less importance on the back burner.

The things that everything I learn have in common are that I am passionate about them. That is the fuel for the fire and the leveler for maintaining sanity. Once I feel confident or have reach my goal for learning the skill I move onto the next important thing. Also Blending interests that work synergistically help.

For example I am in Colombia right now, learning spanish, and writing for my blog and meeting the locals!

When I go to japan my focus will shift from spanish to japanese and when I find a home base I will add music to the top of the list to start a band.

Hope this helps you and I think this is a personalized topic so you may want to take only what makes sense for you.
