How much jewelry is too much?

I have recently gotten into loving jewelry. I first got a gold Michael Kors watch, then picked up a 14k gold necklace. Up until this point I've gotten nothing but positive responses, with just the necklace and watch. Yesterday I went ahead and bought a 14k gold nugget ring from Amazon and a pair of gold rimmed Ray Ban aviators. With the new additions, do you guys think I might be overdoing it?

Gold is extremely easy to overdo. at this point I'd say yes, you're overdoing it. When it comes to jewelry, I try to stick to more grungy stuff, like leather, stone, and silver metals. By mixing and matching those, you can get away with wearing more jewelry without looking like a douche. I'd recommend losing the Ray Bans (sorry), and only wearing two of the gold pieces at a time. If you wear the ring and the necklace, you might consider buying a brown leather wristband to complement them and to tone down the bling. It's all about balance.

I only wear a gold bracelet. Thats more than enough for me.

I top it up with a small unique pendant that is not expensive just for the look at special occasions.

Jewelry is great, I'm currently waiting on a few items from the states to arrive. As to your question, stick to three pieces maximum. On some occasions this rule can be broken when you know exactly what you're aiming to achieve. When I wear my ring and watch I usually skip my necklace, as I feel like there is too much for the viewer. Subtle pieces are good because you can maneuver them over areas you want to highlight like your crotch or face when you want more notice applied to those areas ;)

Thanks for the responses guys. I've cancelled my order on the aviators, more of an impulse buy and the realization that most guys look like assholes in them. Also, after a lot of positive feedback from my peers and Co workers, I'm gonna stick with watch, necklace and ring. I just love to shine. Honestly I've noticed a lot of extra female attention due to said shiny trinkets, but it's probably all mental and they are a confidence boost more than anything. Thanks again guys, and remember bitches love shiny shit! ;-)
