How to Be Photogenic

Many men complain about how awful they look in photos and some men are afraid to look in a camera. I know for sure that is the reason why some men shy away from online dating or social media. Especially when it comes to online dating, the photos you put up are the main thing to go with. In fact, it takes a girl a mili second to look at a guy's picture to decide she likes him or not. Thus the reason why at Girls Chase the point is stressed to handle your fundamentals. For online presentation the fundamentals that need to be on key are:

- Facial Expressions
- Sexy Smile
- Cool Facial Hair
- Hairstyle
- Clean Cool Healthy Skin
- Great Posture
- Toned Body and Ab's ( optional but helps a lot )
- Awesome Fashion

Despite some people saying looks are all that matter's it's not. I've seen photos with good looking people who looked weird or too friendly. They are missing the sexy factor of the equation. Both genders that goes for, though females have a easier time with getting what they want even if photos aren't all that amazing.

For men though, having amazing photos is crucial. Here are a few links to pages that I found helpful.

The Squinching Technique

This technique really stands out to me as the sexiest and most popular facial expression I see celebrities doing. On facebook and instagram the guys that get the most likes and followers do it a lot. It. Here is a few examples of it being done.

On the left is the normal, friendly photo and on the right is the squinching sexy photo. Note that it shows a closed mouth smile like the one Chase talks about and it looks really intriguing. Also it is different from squinting. Check the links above. For those of you who keep up to date with popular female celebrities from now on take a good look at the facial expression and you will see that they are using this facial expression.

Lighting, Fundamentals, Colors, Social Status e.t.c.

Other factors matter too such as light, colors in the background, clothes color, body positioning, how to set your hands, preselection and social status. Did I leave out any? Let me know. I can't write on this because I'm yet to perfect my photogenic skills. Top tips I've used to improve my photos are:

Practise Taking Photos Everyday

Going to the bathroom? Take your phone and get a few selfies in the mirror. Going out to work or school? Take a selfie before going out. Going to parties with friends? Get some preselection and social proof by taking photos with friends. Of course no one likes looking back at photos and cringing. I'd practise taking photos on my own first though. Nothing is worse than taking a group selfie and looking hidious in it.

Get the Right Mindset

I believe your thoughts affect you a great deal. If you think you are ugly then the photo will come out ugly. Before taking a photo I make sure I'm not angry or sad. I should feel upbeat. If I'm taking a photo at home I listen to upbeat music. If I'm out with friends I should be laughing and enjoying their company before taking a photo. When you are feeling great smiling looks real and makes the photo more likable.

More Tips

Those of you who read the comments might have seen that I requested an article on looking photogenic. I can't wait on that however. Those who help themselves will be helped. So I'm starting this topic and if anyone has got any more tips It would be nice to share. Please do :) I left a lot out: lighting, angles e.t.c.. Any proven advice guys?

I reckon a good camera is a must, and for selfies a tripod and remote trigger. I've been looking at some DSLRs around the $600 mark but unfortunately cannot afford right now. Besides I'm kinda deliberately avoiding Tinder to force myself to do more daygame. Anyway you also need some diffuse lighting of the kind that photographers use, what looks like an umbrella made of tinfoil or similar... there are guides on the net about how to make these... well I'm not a photographer but I've had a lot of studio and outdoor shots done of my kids so I have some idea how professional photographers do things.
cheers, Ray

Definitely a good camera is needed. Having umbrellas up is also a spectacular idea. I'm looking at that possibility and also the possibility to take awesome selfies with a smartphone anywhere. Going to the beach ? Just whip out my phone and snap a photo. At a party ? I'll do the same.

I've used a tripod before. When I was younger my family got together and took family photos and sometimes I would get to use it for my own fun. Ahh good times...
