Hey all, here are two tips in one since one is kinda obvious and self-explanatory. They're coming kind of fast because I had them already written out, but after the next one they will be a little slower coming. Plus I want to apologize in advance for this post being a little disjointed since it's getting posted in bite sized pieces rather than all at once. Plus I just got done with 7 hours of painting outside. I'm tired lol

Also keep in mind, that you'll need read this post first before you can use these tips because I'll be referencing a list that you'll need to have created to fully use these. But if you don't want to go read that post then the short version is that you'll need a list of things that you want to learn/accomplish over the course of at least a few months. Then narrow your list down to only the two most important things, which is what we'll be focusing on (plus a whole bunch of theory about why this stuff works and another rule or two related to your list)!

Having said that, here are the tips on how to create superhuman levels of focus!

Carve Time Into Your Schedule

This one is self-explanatory, so we won’t spend too much time on this. But you’re going to actively spend a minimum of ten hours every week on each of your goals. How you choose to do this is up to you and your own goals (excluding any sanity breaks you may need).

Whatever it is that you’re trying to do, make sure to work towards it as consciously as you can. Which means breaking down the overall goals you have into bite sized mini-skills that you need to build. Or rather, the building blocks of a skills. You can read more about that here: https://www.charismaticbusinessman.com/3-secrets-on-how-to-learn-like-a-child-prodigy/

Don’t mindlessly put the time in because it’s on your schedule. If you’re starting to feel burnout or get overloaded with stress then the next big thing I'll focus on in this series will help you out a lot with that (willpower, which is one of my FAVORITE subjects related to this stuff). But for now, let’s move on to the next step to create a legendary level of focus within yourself:

Surround Yourself With Reminders And Create Accountability

What this means is that you will quite literally surround yourself with constant reminders of what you’re working on.

Some things that have worked in the past for me is following accounts on social media that inspire me to continue working towards the things that I want. For daygame that's spending a few minutes looking at hot women to generate that desire to go out and approach. In regards to my life coaching that means looking at beautiful places in the world that I want to visit so that I remind myself of some of the rewards of getting this thing off the ground. It's also scheduling consults with people because I'm absolutely in love with talking about this stuff with people who want to listen!

In the past, I’ve printed out some of these pictures and put them in places where I would see them every day. It means that I have set my desktop background to pictures of the beach, a place where I’d love to live someday along with a poem that I've written. And while I was homeless I had a stack of pictures sitting in my cars passenger seat to help keep my motivation high.

But not just that, try to talk to your friends or like-minded individuals about some of your goals while also encouraging them to share their own goals. The reason for this is:
  1. That it gives you a sense of rivalry with people and seeing somebody else’s success can help inspire you to work towards your own
  2. It can also create personal accountability
  3. Plus a whole bunch of other reasons related to us being social animals that I won't go into much

Creating Accountability

Another way to create personal accountability towards your goals is to actually put money on the line. There are a bunch of websites out there (I've not personally used any so I can't recommend any) where you can bet that you will do blank by blank time or you lose blank amount of money. If you win the bet then you get your money back. If you don't win the bet, however, then you lose your money.

But if the website isn't your speed, then make bets with your friends (not about who will do what first but just that you will accomplish it). And whenever someone does hit a goal then celebrate it with them. It'll reward your brain and send lots of dopamine to it for your own goals, it'll inspire you both whenever someone does hit a goal and again, we're social mammals. It'll help with your friendships too!

Share what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and ask people to keep you accountable. People that you trust and that will help cheer you on. Because if you’re telling your goals to someone who is just going to put you down then it’s going to discourage you and make you want to give up. So choose carefully (or make a different choice if the first one sucks, which I’ve done in the past).
