So this past weekend, I was out at the club. I saw a group of 5 girls formed in a circle dancing. I wasn't sure how to engage them. When they're in a circle, what's a smooth way to engage the group?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

There is a high-energy, entertainer-style way to do this, which I can share if anyone's interested.

Otherwise, unless you want to go in super high-energy / wild / entertainer, you are not going to break into a group of high-energy dancing women.

So what you do instead is approach other girls, while you keep your eye on the dancing girls, and when they tire of dancing (they always do), move in on the one you want when the group peels off a bit... assuming they don't immediately head for the exit when they're done dancing (which sometimes happens).

But basically the choices are:

  1. Go in super high energy to the group but risk being clownish / entertainer (can work though)

  2. Wait for them to calm down and peel off but risk them beelining for the exit as soon as they do

Decisions, decisions ;)

To add

Don't forget to laugh at yourself if you make a mistake or someone is better than you. The latter (someone is better at dancing than you) is to signal that at the end of the day, the tribe benefits from the best product/service/act.

Sidenote:
Risk getting clown, can turn in your favor especially if you legitimately trying to head somewhere/produce something that the tribe will benefit from.

I have had people cheering for me at a competition, even though my performance suck shit. Remembering it, I am humbled and truly grateful to those guys at the top seats in the theater. For sure they might have just been cheering for no reason but they were cheering directly at me.

Humbled.

The 5 girls in circle i called it circle castle is strategically design for that purpose to keep guys out by giving the back, there are many ways to open depending on the situation and dynamics.... Usually is good to wait for a break or a distraction in the group to open, there is a timing element as well women form this when they get in the club to bond as women, there is a lot of dynamics here:

I like the fact that the date on this is 2016 - i.e. it's well known and understood problem and there's been strategy to deal with it FOR A LONG TIME. And I'm guessing, you were doing this 10+ years prior.
