How to handle an online girl "Not being ready to meet yet"

Had a girl I was talking to through online dating, got her contact, texted a bit and she seemed pretty interested and agreed to a date, but on the day of the date, when I sent a "confirmation" text she said that she wasn't ready to meet today. I realize I probably screwed up along the way at some point, but how would I best proceed from here?

I told her no worries and we'd do a rain check and she gave a like to the message. i feel like the typical advise would be to give it a few days then try and schedule another date, but since it's potentially a comfort thing, should I be looking to actually text her some, in order to build up that comfort?

A number of things could be happening.

one it could be a lack of attraction, if you were clooney, she’d sure as he’ll be ready to meet - so it could be down to your text game

or

it could be she’s butt ugly, looks nothing like her pictures and wants your pandering and attention. She knows once you meet you’ll go running for cover and won’t want to know

If she is super keen to meet you, but has logistical issues, she will give you an alternative.

You could follow up, and end up meeting her.

However, she would turn up harder to lay, or retain as compared to another DTF chick who fancies you

I agree with all that. I don't get many matches currently though so I feel like it's worth bothering with, honestly I need the practice over everything

whatever you feel comfortable with, but the more the better if improvement is the goal..
