How to know if leather chelsea boots will still fit after they break in?

Hello people of GC :) . I spent quite some time coming up with a daygame outfit for myself. I finally did, but I don't know how should I find the right fit for one of the items - leather chelsea boots, since they break in after some wear.

My question is, personally, when you're out shopping for chelsea boots, how do you determine that the pair of your choosing isn't going to be too tight (uncomfortable), but won't be too big so you slip out of your shoes either, after the shoes break in?

Note: I searched for an answer on style websites that I trust, but didn't find it, which is why I'm asking this here.

Thanks a lot in advance :) .

Much love,
Dexter

Your question has very little to do with day game or seduction. You're basically asking about rudimentary info when it comes to dressing yourself (common sense). If you're looking for more replies then I would ask questions relating to said topics.

Also, the answer for your question: you try the boots on until you find the right size. Talk to the people at the store until you feel comfortable with what you're trying on. That's their specialty - to find you a good pair of shoes that fits. :)

Aha, I see. I posted in the wrong subforum. I read somewhere that new members should post in beginners sub-forums, so I did. Then I guess the appropriate sub-forum would be "Off Topic". Got it.

However, I would disagree that how to choose leather chelsea boots is a no brainer, since leather shoes break in after some wear and, as you are aware, chelsea boots have no shoe laces, which means if they become too big after some wear and you start sliping out of them occasionally, there's no way to fix that (other than going to a bootmaker, but you would be better off buying new shoes instead). But I guess I can see now how at first glance this question might seem rudimentary to people, since non-leather shoes, as far as I know, don't break in, so no need to worry if same shoes will still fit after some wear. I'll keep this point in mind too.

Thank you very much for this very needed insight, I appreciate it :) . Next time I post, I'll keep these factors in mind.
