I want every single one of you to think back to your childhood. Was there any emotion that you felt you weren’t able to express in your household? I feel that this thought resonates can resonate with a lot of people.

I’ve heard the term sexually repressed before.
What about humorously repressed?

Guys, some experiences just feel alien to us.
I’d love to get in touch with my humorous side. Any thoughts? I’d love to tell a joke because I like to laugh and goof off than as a skill.
I’d love to find things funny.

I purposely am not funny in field til she has fully went sexual. Talking game related. It kills one of your biggest calibration tools if you're funny at all. You can tell when she's hooked and compliant when she laughs at shit that isn't funny. If you are being funny at all she might be laughing at it genuine. Then post hook if she laughs at mildly amusing shit you know you are "seducing her".

I know it's like saying Jesus Christ was the one true prophet at a Mosque to so many "use humor to get laid" guys, but what i've learned is to clam the fuck up on meet to hook to pull so you can calibrate when you have compliance better. Anyone who has chatted with me, consults with me, podcasts i've been on etc, knows i'm a pretty jovial guy (unless I don't like you). Initial pickup game though, find me a totally different guy by design.

So I wouldn't worry about it from a game perspective. You definite don't NEED it to get pussy. Non game, shit I dunno man, I think back to childhood and my dad would have buddies over watching porn on satellite yelling "it'd be like takin a coke bottle up the ass!" and everyone laughing and me not getting it. To just earlier talking how strippers are fuckin stupid, and guys giving them money for nothing is stupid, and making myself and others laugh saying may as well just pelt em with change at their naked pussy as hard as you can instead of giving them bills. Theory I once heard was comedians are only funny when being mean to others or themselves in some way. Never analyzed it much further.

“from being on many forums, in person and chats there are many problems with calibrations, most puas think they are funny and they are not (just look at the forum posters making dumb jokes and saying haha! with funny faces), they also force it, and they try too hard... They are usually using humor as a technique and to get reactions... (do you like me, do you think i am funny, please like me)

^ this in turn is the main problem with the humor, humor should be develop and something internal for your OWN AMUSEMENT, your own party and fun vs a technique, a lot of times jokes will bomb, and i just keep talking and change the subject, not even professional comedians can be funny even 90%.”

I am looking to develop a sense of humor to enjoy the world around me for myself, I believe it will give me a more uplifting view of life.

While it certainly isn’t a skill required for girls, I am looking to develop it as an addition to my personality for my own amusement. Same with playfulness.

For sure I’m not much into comedians. I like light uplifting humor, and though all humor tends to have someone(or something/or my favorite some situationas the butt of the joke, I prefer one that is obviously meant in a good natured way and doesn’t tear anyone down in any way.

What church are you a member of? Don't they not allow pickup? Was kinda my point man, can't have "sunny light hearted vibes" and really "get" humor, I mean a joke about 50% chance of rain being bullshit cause it's always right, is still at the expense of weathermen having a useless fake career.

99% of jokes are gonna be harsher than that. You can write jokes that are totally not at anyones expense and make it a stand up routine, you are the next Jerry Seinfeld man, can sell out arenas of sobers, Christians etc. Not being sarcastic here, am serious, comedians ARE comedy and almost none are clean or light hearted. Maybe part of your issue with not getting it is your morals in the way of JOKES. Am assuming you are an adult though, so it's probably spilled milk by now, that part of you is probably always gonna be "unlike" others.

I once read a book by a guy that is somewhat funny in a niche way (Scott Adams, the author of Dilbert) and he said that humor comes from breaking expectations.
It makes a lot of sense.

Humor is about causing or identifying contradictions.

Cat hunting mouse —> Regular occurrence
Mouse hitting cat with a mallet —> Funny

Being funny most of the time means breaking the rules of politeness because politeness is there to make people comfortable.
Humor is breaking those conventions.

Actually laughing is a natural reaction to RELIEVE TENSION.
In this case, the tension caused by a the realization of a contradiction.
