I found the guy while creating a list of new clothes and shoes that I will be buying for my birthday. His name is Mariano Di Vaio. I doubt few girls would be able to resist him to be perfectly honest haha.

Seems like he follows the fashion trends...

... not bad but he goes for the baggy/hipster/metro look.
Works for him with the body and wild hair but it's easy for this to look messy and disorganized if not carefully put together with a whole "look" let he has.

I'm somewhat into fashion and have workd in fashion retail in my younger years before my current career. Girls have a strange reaction to the "metro" look.
It drives some wild and it drives some away so the look really depends on what girls you are going for too.

For example, I moved to Boston, not exactly a style capital. The denim, cutoffs, baggy t-shirt and backwards cap guys actually tend to attract the girls while they really don't dig the metro look so well. It's sort of strange.
Back in my hometown its the exact opposite.

Guys fashion is easy if you keep it simple.
If you want to break the mold a little I think you need to tailor it to something that suits you and the type of girls you're looking to attract.

There's some trends that I see in pictures or in a store that I think look awesome but when I try them on, they just don't suit me.

Solid points. I'm getting into men's clothing heavily recently. I've always dressed badly but this past year since Chase's blog I've put some hard yards into working out how to dress. I'm not the most athletic guy but I do make it work for me. I agree with what you're saying, his look isn't always what I would go for. Personally I'm more into more manly yet quality items. I am incorporating his look into mine more and more though because I do like the style. That's a personal taste however. Most of my friends are into basketball/athletic clothing and nothing else. That's fine, but not for me.

It's just all about getting the shirts/clothes that look great every time you put them on. Fit is everything. Also do some thrift shopping if you're on a college budget. I've gotten some steals at Goodwill and consignment stores. I try to look great everyday going to class, at my university my style sticks out in a great way amongst the vast amount of frat clones.

Been killing it like never before in terms of flirting in class, too. Sit next to the hot girl(s) at the beginning of the semester and you're golden because there's no rush. I start quiet just going about my business focused on school, flash a smile and eye contact here and there. Gradually there will be more and more conversation and then you're in the bag. Girls are definitely more shy and not expecting to be wowed at class which just makes it easier in my opinion. Very rarely if ever do I see dudes picking up to random girls in class. Dressing great and being the most confident guy in class, works wonders.

Totally agree with the comment above.

Also, you don't need to spend an absolute fortune on high end clothes.

It depends where you live but stores I love are:
- Jack & Jones
- River Island
- H&M
- Marshalls & TJ Maxx (they have a ton of crap but I walk by a Marshalls every day on my way to work and always stop in for a quick lap, if you are on the ball when new stock comes in you'll get great bargains)

The above have a lot of crap too. But they all sell the staples at very low cost in terms of price vs. quality. They also mainly sell very well fitted clothes.
I've found the first two are awesome for shirts and cool tops and love J&J jeans. Their t-shirts tend to be worn by every guy in town though.
H&M sell all the staples and quality is good. I bought 2 blazers recently $40 each. They are great quality and are fitted. I could go elsewhere and spend $300 for the same and they are just baggy and ill-fitting off the rack.

The best part about being in the US now is that these stores have a very European style meaning the clothes are simple, can mix and match easily to create new outfits every time, and are slim and fitted.
Most guys in my area HATE this but girls respond very well. US sizes and brands go for the "big and tall"... I've bought size small shirts which are like tents on me and I'm over 6ft!
I'm just taking Boston as my example but guys just wear everything huge and baggy, always wear t-shirts and sports jerseys even to fairly classy places so just a crisp white fitted shirt makes you stand out by MILES.

Check eBay too... you can get awesome deals on shirts and shoes on there. Quality caries but you can get some awesome shoes for $30... they absolutely look the part but might not last forever but who cares, just buy a new pair in 6 months. Even $200 shoes from the big stores don't stay crisp with a lot of wear. Best part about this is that you can get styles which nobody else has. I've been complimented on a few shirts/t's I've bought on there because they were so unique.

Main thing is just make your own style and rock it.
There's often fashion trends I see and I like but just don't fit my body shape or my look. I'm very fair haired and I make this work for me a lot. Very outrageous or rocker styles just don't look good on me as cool as some guys can rock it.

You're right there Estate and Stringer!

I get so sick of uniform so I've started to dress casual to school. Massive amounts of interest sparked up from everyone. I guess they aren't used to a man under 20 in clothes besides gym clothes. Important not to over do it though.

I'm not a fashion designer but, doesn't he look very gay? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to chase women dressed up like you own a rainbow flagged nightclub.

It all depends on where you're going to and your own style. I'm not afraid of taking inspiration from a gay man if they are doing something better than myself. Already I'm seeing a huge amount of interest spark since I have re-done my style - and maybe that is just a placebo effect but as long as it's working I am down. :)
