Okay so I had a day off today and I spent it with my friend at the other mall that is actually populated with people and beautiful girls. We arrived at the mall an hour after opening and stayed til 4 in the afternoon. I was mostly coaching my friend because has approach anxiety and I was giving him little "missions" to complete.
While he was split up from me I met two girls that I number closed. Kristen who worked in Claire's and Bailey who worked at a jewelry kiosk.
Kristen
At this point my friend was talking to me about something while we were walking but I completely left the conversation when I made eye contact with her from Inside her store. He followed after me to watch.
I don't quite remember the compliment I used but it didn't matter because she melted into so much great energy and she was actually involved in the conversation and very into me.
Me: i saw you from outside and I had to tell you (compliment)
Her: oh! Oh my god! Thankyou, you just made my day!
Me: what's your name?
Her: I'm Kristen
Me: my name is We--
Her: (she interrupted me about something but I don't remember what she asked me.)
Me
I answered whatever it was and somehow I got to this point...
Me: let me see your hand. (as I held my hand up with my fingers spread out)
She held her hand up.
I placed mine on hers and then.
Me: Zahalu! We made the bond.
Her: what is that from? That sounds familiar.
Me: it's from Avatar. (our hands still touching)
Her: ohhh..I've never seen that movie.
Me: aw really? We need to change that...maybe we can watch it sometime.
Her: okay
but wasn't it different?
Me: yea..in the movie they have these pony tail things and they touch them together...
(she lets down her hair...I swear this moment moved in slow motion or something. She even shook it and everything like those shampoo commercials. She was so beautiful.Anyway, she let down her hair then took a strand of it and held it at my back)
Her: Zahalu!
Me: haha..I don't have hair (lifts up my beanie and shows my low cut hair) that's why I do it with my hands, see? (holds by hand to hers again.)
Me: do you remember my name?
Her: no, you never told me.
Me: haha yes I did..it's Wes (I'm not sure if this part of the conversation happened this early or later on. I have everything mixed up.)
We vibed so well with each other that we were conversating without me even thinking about it. My friend eventually took a seat outside because I was taking too long.
She asked me where I worked at one point and...
Me: I work at ____mall, I'm off today so I decided to come to the mall that's not actually deserted.
Her: yea, people tell me about that mall...I've been there and it doesn't seem as bad as people say. I don't get why people are so scared to go there.
(you know what...my memory is very faded right now....I remember deep diving and finding out she came up here from St.Augustine and we strayed onto other topics and I steered it back onto her. Found out she wanted to travel and she was also a dancer to which I remember this conversation...)
Me: really? No way...for a second there, I thought you were going to say you play sports. I was about to say: girls who play sports are my 2nd favorite kind of people...but you're a dancer?! Haha people in the arts are my favorite kind of people.
Her: really?
Me: yea...I'm an artist myself
Her: well I'm glad I'm one of your favorite kinds of people. And that's cool!
There was a point where someone was moving past her so she stepped out of the way. After moving she was not as close to me anymore so I closed the distance by putting my hand on her shoulder at one point then I moved my body in closer to her. (maybe that was extending a little too much effort but it was a good excuse to touch her.)
I then steered towards getting her out.
I got her number and then asked her when she had a break and when she didnt have to work. She said she worked everyday and she wasn't sure about her breaks.
I told her I'll just come back on the weekend (I should've just pushed for her to break today now that I realize it.)
Then she got a customer and I hugged her and sent her a text.
She didn't seem opposed to the idea of us going on a date but then again she may end up flaking. I need to stop talking to girls who are working and go for the girls actually shopping.
Bailey
Earlier I walked past her at her kiosk and overheard her boss talking to her complaining to her about something. He said something about her birthday.
"I understand today is your birthday but..blah blah blah"
When I came back I made eye contact with her then:
Me: happy birthday!
Her: (her face lit up)
Me: I overheard your boss saying it was your birthday earlier and thought I'd stop by and make your day.
Her: Thankyou! You just did make my day!
(she moved in to hug me)
Me: what's your name?
Her: bailey
Me: I'm Wes. Let me see your hand.
(she holds up her hand mimicking mine)
Me: Zahalu! We made the bond.
Her: hahaha that thing from Avatar?!
Me: Mhm..I'd rather do this then to shake your hand. (I shake her hand) see? This is weird right?
She laughs.
Me: haha I never understood shaking a girls hand...I understand shaking a guys hand but for girls...(raises eyebrow)
Her: I know right? And then black guys do the dap thing.
(we give each other dap but she messes it up and we laugh about it and try again)
Me: so what's up? Aside from having to stand here all day?
Her: (I forgot her answer but it led into talking about some other topic that wasn't really deep diving, then an old friend showed up with her boyfriend and hugged me..but I didn't try to have a conversation with her and waited for her to leave because she was interrupting)
Then we went back to talking and I deep dived her a little...
Found out she was a senior in high school. (I didn't ask, she told me...I'm making a habit of no longer asking girls their age)
She wants to be a cosmetologist.
Mentioned to her that she had a really sexy body and sexy hips(to show her I was attracted to her, I didn't ever compliment her before this) and she went on to tell me that she was also a belly dancer. (her body was like perfect hourglass...my God...if I can manage this..I will have fun with her.)
Then I went for the close and got her number
Told her we should meet up and asked when she was off.
She wasn't sure and told me to just text her and we will figure it out.
Told her I had to go meet my friend on the other side of the mall and hugged her.
Her: nice to meet you Wes!
Then I left and sent her
"hey it's Wes. Save my number"
She replied "okay"
Then sent a smiley face.
There was a point when I went back to her with my friend because we were just passing so I introduced him to her so it didn't look like I was avoiding her..then I told her we were headed back that way to catch a bus. She told me by one last time and hugged me.
I'm texting her now actually to try to get a date set.
So far:
Me: might as well text you since there's one more hour left until the mall closes. Wassup?
Her:hah, hi. Sitting here, tired.
Me: you won't get in trouble for texting your greatest birthday present of all time, would you?
Her: nah I'm fine, thanks for that hahaa
And I'm about to reply now and make this happen. The conversation might be over before anyone can give me texting advice so hopefully I don't mess up or scare her off.
Anyways, today was a good day. Kristen also had a birthday two days ago, I forgot to mention.
It's very strange how I'm clicking with these August born girls. Hmmmm...
Any advice on escalating on the date (if it happens) and finding something to talk about would be great. I recently read Chase's reply to a guy who's having the same problem I'm having of girls not kissing him whenever he goes for the kiss so I'm just going to try to escalate with no kisses since girls these days have hang ups about it. I'll only kiss her if it logically is the obvious thing to do.
Anyway I replied: " no problem. You what early birthday present you can give me though?"
If she answers "what?" I'm going to say "a chance to see you again when you're NOT working." and basically get a day open so we can see each other.
That's all for now.
Wes
(also the "Zahalu" thing might be kinda weird but I just randomly came up with it yesterday and it seemed to work well. I guess that'll be my thing. I honestly do find handshaking a girl to be weird though. Its too "friendly" to me. I'd rather just get touchy right off the bat)
