Hey. I am sitting on a gigantic amount of money that I amassed over years of working and I want to start a business, don't know what kind at all or where to start. I know very little about creating a profitable business overall. I understand there are a lot of pitfalls.

Wanted to ask you guys what are some good things to do to start learning about businesses and find out which one is right for you?

Also, what advice do you guys have in regard to finding a mentor in business who ISN'T a fraud?
I noticed there's a lot of internet crooks posing as "teachers".

Thanks

Invest small and often.
Basically you can test any idea or project in a small setting before going all in.

Good advertising works the first time. Ignore pundits saying that prospects need to see you 7 times or so before buying.

Focus on sales and scalability.

This one rubs me in a bad way.

In my experience, most people out there who are trying to teach business, really have good intentions and some basic knowledge of the field.
There is a huge difference between a beginner and an expert mentor but painting most of them as “crooks” is a terrible stereotype that people use to never leave their comfort zone.
