I recently lost my job and struggling to get a new one, and it's seriously affecting my confidence. I've been causally dating a few girls for a while and I feel like I am being shit tested more often by them and not having the inner-security to handle it properly. It's making me feel worse about myself and situation. There's nothing offensive going on, but it feels like the balance of dominance has tipped the other way and I'm having a hard time maintaining myself as a "lover" archetype.
Should I put things on hold with them, so I can focus my energy on getting my job situation back on track (which would mean giving up the sex I'm getting also), or see it as a challenge and just do my best to deal with it? I often think that women inherently shine a bright light on our weaknesses which is sometimes hard to accept but at the same time very revealing.
