Mimicking youtubers as a way of learning

Hello everyone. Hope you are well. I have a new idea. I'd like to share it with you, and then please if you can, share your thoughts on it. My idea is to observe the pretty boys from the popular crowd, the guys who are good at getting chicks. And, using my skill at imitation and acting, I can mimic these guys' behavior. Their mannerisms, their expressions, their dress, etc. Like an actor, but obivously not mimicking verbatim; I'd just take their essence and put my own twist on it.

Who I am specifically speaking about mimicking are those funny young confident Youtubers out there (Gen Z) who film themselves doing pickup in various fun places like on spring break, on college campuses, etc. These guys were never in the PUA scene they are simply youngsters from the popular crowd. The videos are both semi-humorous and semi-serious, they really do get numbers and the whole shebang, but what I really sense when I watch these guys is this is how I should look when I do pickup.

So I plan to watch these guys at work and then copy them.

But let me tell you why I came up with such an idea in the first place...Sometimes I don't know what kind of guy I should be, so I need some role models. Just reading nice articles and then going out and doing pickup doesn't seem to fully do it for me. I have to observe examples of great guys who are excelling.

Let me know what you think of my idea fellas, is it solid or what?

I think you should be careful here. I don't know what kind of individuals you are referring to, but I'm guessing you don't REALLY know how much they get laid. Remember that it's also beneficial for them to look like they are doing very well.

Anyway, I think it could be a good idea. At some point you will (hopefully) realize that it's time to move on and try something different. Personally, I'm at a point where I don't model anyone so much anymore. But I had to model a lot of gurus to learn what works for me.

You are correct. I would never be so stupid as to just put all my trust in some guy from the internet. Indeed, he might very well be a chump off camera and the whole thing could be a setup. I do know of clowns like that. But I'm speaking merely about the way a guy carries himself during the initial conversation/ initial interaction with chicks. I'm making observations on the guy's delivery, tonality, body language, confidence, humor, wit. For example I watched 2 videos of that guy Jack Denmo today and he seems alright to me. SO FAR. But as always I will be careful.

If you’re going to mimic someone from YouTube I can only recommend Hector Castillo and Austen Summers.

Don’t forget that YouTube (and most video platforms and social networks) are mostly entertainment.
Many guys there are doing fun stuff that looks cool and is funny but behind the cameras it brings no results.
