I know that James Bond movies are a good example, but do you have other examples?

Damon is exactly my thought. Especially from first seasons.

When it comes to more serious characters, when I tried to apply their mimics, body language and low energy state (smiling and laughing ocassionally) I was always called sad and too serious and quite boring (not loud and energetic enough?). What are your thoughts on that?
