Yesterday I was at an aerial silk skills workshop (google it) where I was the only male in class of 12 other beautiful women. I was a few minutes late to the class, so did some other female student and we joined the group few minutes late. When I was performing, I felt too much attention on me while focusing on my performance. I do my set and get off the silk to get some game.
First, I make a pass at the instructor ME and get a conversation going. In the meantime, this blond blue-eyed Italian/Canadian girl AE starts flying in air so my attention is completely distracted. Nobody wears bras during practice and it's usually very loose and strapless clothing. For sake of brevity. Once AE's done with her set, I politely swoosh away from the instructor to go sit next to AE. We talk about injures and etc. but it's obvious she has no interest in me, so I bounce up to do another set.
While I'm performing, I see this beautiful Latino pole dancer AJ talk to the ME, so using ME to merge into the conversation and AJ gives me IoI's like asking me to do cartwheels etc. (she asked me to do also a backflip and I backed out). Accidentally, I find myself talking to AJ's friend (girl) AN, where my intention was to get back to AJ.
AJ drifts off from the conversation and AN seems to be highly submissive, willing to follow along, which kind of bores me so I go off to do the most difficult set of the day. I nail it. But I have no depth with anyone in the room. So we make a group chat were AJ's also in and I gently leave for my next meeting.
Now reflecting back, I find myself distracted in the face of abundance. Like the Chinese proverb "One who chases two rabbits will catch none." I chased three, and got close to none. (I could easily number-close or even kiss-close AJ)
So, my question to O.G. gamers: how do you handle multiple targets? How to move across the group without offending anyone?
bonus: if my first attempt fails (as in AE), how can I make second attempt a comeback?
