My friend and I dance with two girls. Inadvertently he starts to head off alone. Turn to check what’s up. Apparently this causes the effect of a takeaway, as, as I turn back to her, the girl immediately asks me for my number. No reply to my icebreaker later;
Another night, a cute one throws a "how tasty!" as she passes by the club I’m standing in front of. My "Why don’t you stay?" gets her to slightly shake her head as she moves on.
A girl that knows that I am a friend of someone she works with asks me to take her number "so we can do something!". No answer when I text;
With the next girl, I decide to try something more aggressive and openly state how sexy I find her right from the start. She’s about to leave though, so she offers to hand me her contact details. No reply the next day.
Several years passed since I last gamed in this environment - with noteworthy success.
I’m more muscular and older now, though people estimate me younger, at around ~32.
Inwardly, I care less when rejected, but, paradoxically, I feel less secure in my approaches.
While older ladies approach me more aggressively now, the young ones I go for react with a distinct mix of curiosity with reluctance.
For example, the first one mentioned - though eager to take my number - would back off whenever I went more sexual while dancing.
Another very young one, not mentioned before, would not tongue-kiss me when over at my place, even though she had stated several times over text how eager she was to see me. Maybe she held back because she was on the fence about me as a potential boyfriend.
An even younger one that wouldn’t stop asking me questions, would outright decline when stating that "we could arrange doing something together these days".
So far I cannot quite pinpoint yet what’s going on.
Am I less congruent or less relatable or might this be something about value/attainability?
This is probably a stage some others may have gone through too …
