'new posts' function?

I could be missing it if there is one, but how come there's no 'latest posts' or 'new posts since last visit' button? It's nice to be able to see just the conversations that have been active in the last 24 hours if you're already up to speed with the discussions in progress

Not sure if that was what you were after. But here goes:

If you go to Board index, above the Beginners forum, there are a few links regarding posts and topics. Among them are View new posts.

oh yeah.... I've been browsing from board index > the boards where it's not visible. I was expecting it to be next to 'view your posts' on the main black menu bar at the top as they usually travel in pairs... Thanks!
