Probably the best apartment I ever had for fast escalations was a studio apartment with no bedroom - bed was right in the middle of the room - with a giant picture window looking out over the city; essentially, one of the walls wasn't a wall at all but just a big sheet of glass. Wood floors, white walls, really warm, very open and well-lit apartment. During the day there was plenty of sunshine streaming in, and at night you could see the whole city lit up.

What made this apartment so great for seductions, so far as I could tell, was simply that it felt so open and comfortable. All the sunlight, or moonlight and city light, made it feel like a very "Zen" place. It seemed to naturally set women at ease. Seemed to contribute to my escalations happening faster, with less resistance, even with girls who weren't necessarily primed for sex before arriving at my place.

Or as Garth would have it, "a fully-functioning Babe Lair" :D

I find having loads of really healthy houseplants about the place helps with setting women (and people in general) at ease.

That's an interesting note, LL. I've thought about that many times before - "Hmm, some nice greenery in here would probably add a lot to the ambiance" - before remembering I'm terrible with plants and my plants always turn brown and die from lack of watering.

But if you can be attentive enough to pour some water on them every so often, I agree - there's something about plants that is very soothing to have in a place.

You can get auto-watering things that are very simple and cheap off ebay, they're like a ceramic spike that sucks water from a reservoir of some sort (I use attractive bottles) through a tube, they just need topping up once a week or so and it's visually fairly obvious when it needs to be done. I just use a capful of seaweed extract every other week for feed and I've got a pretty impressive jungle going on in my house. But I think on the whole, having living, flourishing stuff around your home is very important, I'd even think about it as a 'fundamental'. I believe it demonstrates a level of control over ones' own environment, aesthetic sensibility as well as an ability for care and nurture, but in a non-provider-like way.
