I am practicing on my conversation skills and banter by talking with more people a day than ever before and naturally would like to progress faster on the learning curve.

Currently the only way I see to improve is through observing other people and coming up with new questions on the spot and believe that this process can be accelerated if I get get to watch people with high Charisma interact.

What are some resources you have come across either in the form of videos, podcasts on YouTube/Spotify, etc that according to you has interactions between high Charisma individuals?
Feel free to mention it if you want to. This will then be of great help to everyone involved.

I remember a guy named Bobby Rio who focused on conversation skills.
If he is still active, his newsletter is golden.

@Sully,

There's a real dearth of good information on conversation, unfortunately. I noticed it right away when I first discovered seduction. Not much you can find in the mainstream and not a lot on it in seduction.

I have a couple of products I've put out on conversation over the years... there's Spellbinding, which is okay but we sort of rushed into production. I added some bonuses to it to flesh it out more but wasn't totally happy with it. Then we did Module 2 of The Dating Artisan (second module you get after subscribing to One Date), which was what Spellbinding was supposed to be -- I was very happy with that one. Both of those are instructional courses though; might not be what you're looking for if you want to study the back-and-forth. That said, we do have a little interplay and witty repartee scattered throughout One Date and TDA... it's more of a lecture but I tried to make it interactive / fun.

We have another in the works called Demo Dates, where we had actors (and in one case Hector) shoot some scripted interactions with conversation scripts we wrote to actually showcase conversation, but it isn't out yet.

Here's one recommendation if you want to see well-written dialogue bandied about between charismatic actors: watch Woody Allen movies. Allen has a good ear for dialogue, and his films are always about pickup, sex, seduction, romantic dynamics, and so on. They're a good source of study fodder.

Would you recommend Russell Brand/joe Rogan for improving general conversation skills? They have podcasts and I am currently watching joe Rogan.

@Sully,

I haven't watched enough Joe Rogan to know what his conversation style is. Considering the popularity of his podcast, though, he's probably a safe bet.

Russell Brand is a wise-cracking "power to the people" type personality, which is fairly extreme. He spends much of his time either flattering, critiquing, or soapboxing. If that style appeals to you he could be a great role model, but if that isn't what you want to do it may be misleading.

I learned my sense of humor -- and I realize now some of my conversation skills -- in large part by watching David Letterman. In my opinion he's a great mix of witty remarks then serious questions plus relating back to his guests, while maintaining a position of authority throughout:

I've watched a variety of other talk show hosts but none as sharp-yet-down-to-earth in my opinion as Letterman. Most are either smarmy or have a vein of neediness running through them.

@DeepShadow,

I've only seen one of the Charisma on Command guy's videos, so can't comment in detail. But he seems like he's focused on providing value, so probably worth checking out at the least.

@Sully - Im a fan of this way of learning good convo too ;)

One of my favorites has been craig ferguson. Maybe check him out:

He applies a lot of the techs of the community at a high level. Super Nice to see it in action.

I also like the carpool karaoke - host uses a few techs that ive taken in but more interesting he is addressing a variety of stars and you can learn quite a lot from them eg ed sheeran has a great presence.
Also dont underestimate the hosts abilities - theres a role hes playing but his techs are extremely good.

i like to combine it with more punch energy so even if its not convo i found a lot of inspiration in captain flint in black sails. This helped me get more punch in my verbals.

each of them takes a role and brings in a different energy in the interactions that i could apply. I use craig eg mostly for his social side, spinkled with flint type behaviors for more arousal generation, subtle rapport breaking and tension.
Aka know what each brings to the table and where to apply them.

I do see most times that compared to the best pua's posting on YouTube, the talk show hosts, famous podcasters, famous comedians have verbals miles ahead and are much better conversationalists.

Imagine doing cold approach with verbals of their level. You would make rest of the pua's look like noobs.

just be aware that there are many ways to skind the cat and that these host types are often more socially good than seductive. So they might hold good convo and social presence, but can they close a girl SNL style? Far from to the level of me and others in here. Their sexual styles are often meh even if they appear bold etc.

Point being take what you can from them. use theory from the community to pinpoint their actual use of techniques as its nice to see these. Steal particular dos. But then go explore these yourself. and be conscsious what they achieve and where in the process. Know where to use what. Or learn with that in mind. This is where some of the things @Chase outlined can help you thin slice what is actually going on beyond also giving a lot im sure.

then make it your own and expand deeper into the ones you like. look at the impact. sense micro details that unveil for you. follow their trace. and see how new real insights open up for you.

Understanding what they do from eg a conversation framework for a seducer would help you navigate how to use it. eg rikers conversational framework. And these types would add more potency to rikers softer style eg in make it fun and interesting. Eg by putting punch into that part. Challenges. Sizzle.

Check out Aba and Preach from Youtube. They talk about a lot of different topics and they are very charismatic on the spot.

From watching them, I have been learning how to:

- Be entertaining
- Charismatic
- Be serious when the moment is appropriate

They even have a few videos where they talk directly to women. Basically a Zoom kind of date. Check this out to get started:

I took the negotiation class by former FBI negotiator Chris Voss. While some elements don't apply directly to social connections and pickup there were some pretty fundamental concepts and techniques that cross over. I have found a lot of it extremely useful. His concept of tactical empathy and his mirroring techniques are potent social tools.
