I noted Pre-selection can work two ways. One, she has a spike in interest. Another, she will feel like you a creep or somewhat not reachable, even though you didn't bring the girl over the hill.
i don't know the relevancy of this but it happen to me. Must be the women's relationship experience, whether she's dated a lot or not.
