Out with some friends, noticed 2 girls clearly uninterested with the 2 guys they were with. One was very drunk and the other was the mom of the group. Opened the "mom" and didn't care about the other guys. Made a few comments about the situation and it was cordial. I made more comments over the next 15-30 minutes and she was warming up. Eventually she asked me for my name first. Turns out they met the guys an hour before and had no interest in staying with them.
I made a good amount of progress with the mom, (had no interest in pursuing the extremely drunk friend) she was hot but too drunk.
The mom eventually introduced me by name to her drunk friend. Which I took as an IOI because we exchanged names ~30 minutes earlier and she remembered it.
The guys left and I leaned to the mom and said with a hint of sarcasm "well they seemed like nice guys" and she said "what does that mean, are you not a nice guy?" Mistake by me but I said "I tell every girl I'm interested in that I'd ruin their life" (an attempt at sexualizing the encounter but it didn't go over well) I intended to lean into it but she kind of brushed it off so I let it go.
Continued casual conversation and my friends were headed to the bar. The girls were completely alone in this corner by the pool tables next to me. I attempted to test compliance and said "I'm heading back to the bar with my friends, you guys should join us, I'll see you soon" and left.
They hung around for ~20 minutes by themselves and eventually left together, not going to the bar.
In retrospect I should have been more persistent in getting her/them to come to the bar with us. I think she wanted to but I was trying to play it too cool.
We go again tomorrow.
