Hi Guys,

I have a tip before you go out on a date or go out picking up women, or maybe even go out with your friends. Do 50 push ups before you go out. It makes your muscle flex, makes you look good in what you wearing, especially your arms and your chest feels upright. It makes you feel good.

Test it out. :)

Zac

(Edit: Franco, HELP ME CHANGE THIS TO TACTICS AND TECHNIQUE. THANKS :)!!)

This topic has been moved from "General" to "Tactics & Techniques."

Hey Zac,

I actually do this before I go out as well. It's a good, quick tip that will make you look a bit "bigger" for the next 24 hours or so. Good stuff!

Cheers,

Franco

Yes, my friends and I have always done this before a date since high school haha. I forgot where we got the idea from.

However, it's important to know your limit. If you do too many, you won't be able to lift your arms. Imagine if the girl asks you to open something or lift something and your arm muscles are too sore to be able to do it, then It's not going to make you look good.

This is a great way to get your blood flowing, tighter/tenser muscles, and release some of that nervous energy. In a recent article by Chase, he talked about the nervous/fear scent being unattractive to women. I wonder if this could help it (by releasing nervousness/fear and "preparing" you for the challenge ahead) or boost it (now your nervous/fear scent is stronger from your sweat/etc.).

I remember in my Intro to Psych class in college discussing an experiment where people were able to control virtually every process in the body IF they had a way to monitor it. For example, if your body is hooked up to a monitor showing your levels of adrenaline, blood flow, etc., then if you concentrate enough (focusing the number to be higher or lower) you can eventually change the amount of adrenaline or blood coursing through your body, etc. It may be more difficult without the monitor, but before a date, also try repeating phrases such as "I am calm; this date is going perfectly; she is in love with me" or similar "positive affirmations" to consciously control your body's state.

Hi Guys,

Actually doing 50 push ups is just enough. Btw i assume it relaxes your nervous tension, but you will also has this slight scent of sweat smell that Chase mentions, that women are attracted to. Women's reactions to me are slightly higher in numbers, but this is not concrete.

If push-ups aren't your thing, you can also use hand grips. I actually use these all the time, it makes my arms look huge before I go out.

I don't personally believe that doing a few push ups really has much physical benefit to late night type game honestly, the only place I would ever bother doing pushups before gaming at is the beach, though there is certainly something to be said for the psychological aspect and benefit of pumping out a few pushups before going out. I can see how this would be a good way to get some of the nerves out and build a bit of confidence checking yourself out before you head out.

As for the smell of sweat, I don't really know or have an opinion, I haven't really ever bothered with cologne or sprays because I hate the smell, but I do notice that I get the most positive responses from girls personally when I am at the gym or the beach and have been sweating a bit. The regular hookup I had (I don't do monogamous relationships) told me that she thought I was sexiest when I had just come back from the gym or a run. Whether or not this has to do with smell or the fact that I am really in shape, or a combination of the two, I don't know; but going out with just a hint of sweat smell on you is at least worth a shot.

Good points here, Jay. And yeah, if I'm in a hurry and heading out for night game, I typically don't bother doing them (especially if I'm throwing on a heavy coat which makes the changes negligible). I also live by the beach, so I tend do this a lot during the summer before I head out to the bars since I'll usually throw on a fitted tee or tank top (which is really common in the college beach area that I pick up at during the summer).

However, if you're a bit OCD like myself, you try to do the push-ups anyway... even if you're going out for night game, you never know what lady you might bring back who likes a little extra "chisel" on her man's arms, abs, and chest when he's naked. ;)

I'm accustomed to dancing hard and jumping to relax the nerves and get endorphins going. Will try this out.
