I have recently started taking the dating game serious and I thought that I might simply copy and past Chase's words that motivate me to do better at what I do.

They Go As.

"Really, nothing is a big deal... or, it shouldn't be, anyway.
*. Meeting girls isn't a big deal
*. Going on a date isn't a big deal
*. Sleeping with girls isn't a big deal
*. Taking a girl as your girlfriend isn't a big deal
*. Getting married isn't a big deal
*. Having kids isn't a big deal
*. Growing old isn't a big deal
*. Dying isn't a big deal
These are just normal, ordinary, regular parts of life that everybody goes through and everyone experiences."

High School has a lot of challenges. Life on it's own has a lot of challenges and I somewhat take girls as a challenge. Most of the things that I've gone through have been posted and responded to on this forum, so I won't be posting much until I come across a speed bump ahead...

All in all, I'm glad and appreciate the work and effort y'all put into this site. Take care.

It's funny when you think about it like that. This is one of the many ways in which we distinguish ourselves from society; everyone is running around chasing emotions. I mean, yeah I like to listen to my ipod/music to feel some comfort through the emotions that the music evokes, but that's probably the only source of emotional connection that I actually search for. We can evoke our own emotions if you mentally train yourself, and if you aren't quite at that level yet like myself, you can determine sources of emotional connection. For me, it's music, because it's harmless. I don't like to attach a significant amount of emotions to people, because throughout life I've been hurt and the people have come and gone. My brain basically has told me over time not to become so vulnerable to people, so now I'm of the understanding that life isn't a big deal. Having said that, it's good to train yourself to be the best you can be to find satisfaction and it's a stimulating challenge. People have different reasons for self improvement, I think the reason typically correlates with happiness though.

People make marriage a big deal, dying a big deal, relationships, that one 'special' girl etc. Before I completely understood their perspective, now I have to try to relate to them because when someone dies, I don't cry or anything. Over time it gets to me a bit, but I don't feel melancholy and sorrow. Experience is what you need to truly understand why life isn't a big deal.

Cheers,
Garrett
