I've been doing both for about 5-6 years, I also do ballroom and other dances too - no expert but I can dance to a good level but I'm a fairly slow learner so it's taken a while.
If you can dance a bit then either will be straight forward, if you've never danced before then Salsa is marginally easier. Cuban is a little harder as there are more steps, more moves and the man has a lot more to do but LA/Crossbody Salsa a touch easier but for a man can get boring quite quickly.
Bachata is very showy, it's not that complex althouh you can make it complicated. 2 main styles of Bachata are Dominican and Sensual. The one you're looking at is probably Sensual. Around me Sensual has become more fashionable at the moment but this can vary by area or country. I went to Costa-rica and found Dominican Bachata was more popular than Salsa but that could simply be the bar I was in.
As to which is better to meet girls? Depends on the class, personalities and lots of other factors, and not really about the specific dance. Some small glass are good some less so, some large classes have more girls but may be cliquey people. Whichever, dance classes work well for me as I can work most rooms.
For what its worth I'm a Reserved English man through and through, certainly no latin trates.
