Hi guys!

I got this girl's number last week-end in a bar, we set-up for a date this week-end aaaaaand... our country went lockdown! Fucking Covid.
Anyway, i have 2 options.

1) I wait until the end of the lockdown, text her a little bit before the end and reschedule for a date.

This is probably the best option i think, but i'm terribly shit at texting and i wanna improve so here is #2

2) Try to seduce her through texting!
This is probably the worst solution if my plan was just to date her, but my plan is to improve my text game, being more comfortable talking via message.
I plan to do that with more girls from Tinder just for learning purpose.

Oh yeah men I feel you. Lockdowns are making things very hard and much usual game practice is getting harder to implement. So one thing for sure we either have to be patient or get creative.

This is normal, the recommended way of using texting and its even more true for GC is for setting up a meeting for this reason you will not find too many resources about a full eduction over text.

@Zurb dude! I'm going to say it's borderline impossible to seduce a girl through text, though online dating works to an extent. We move fast to show we're not gun shy, too be bold and confident to get what we want, to show that we get it and above all else you can't get intimate with a phone screen.

That said online dating is a thing, you can go from messaging a girl to meeting up to fuck without ever meeting before. This can be booty call or a date - think more plausible deniability than just messaging saying let's fuck!

The issue with messaging for a long period of time is your bound to fuck up, without good investment or a strong "connection" (sex) she has little to no purpose to give you another chance once she's cooled off and replying to 100 other dudes. You also need to consider the longer it goes on the more she's built you up and the bigger deal it is to meet you in case it shatters her make believe version of you. You're just some text on a screen and she's now very anxious to meet you.

Actionable advice

(A GC article - advanced techniques part 2) It gives great examples of starting to get into hotter/sexting conversations with girls you've never met, only met a few times or girls you've previously bedded. It covers how to text girls over a period of time to seduce them. This is very advanced and shouldn't be your main focus to meet girls this way.

How flaky she'll be depends on the girl. She might know meeting up with you will definitely lead to sex and so will become less likely to meet. She's had her sexual attention needs met and doesn't need you anymore. Alternatively her curiosity could be through the roof, you've painted yourself as a great lover and she can't wait to meet you. It's a double edged sword.

If she gets turned on this is the equivalent of sex talk (because it is just that) and she might be very hot with a high buying temperature and be willing to meet.

Actual texting

If you're looking for texting beyond logistics (which is the primary use for dudes!) It's about vibing and leading the conversation. Teasing, joking, providing value. You're showing her you're fun and can have a good interaction outside the boring conversation everyone else is giving her. Don't over do this and become witty conversation guy!

Oh i know it's better to text for logistics, no doubt, but texting is my weak point and i have to get better at it because no matter what you always gotta text girls somehow.

You start messaging from dating app, then via SMS at least to check the number, then the same day to check if date is still on, then after date, etc etc...
Things is texting/messaging is never smooth for me, i'm always struggling to know what to say or to not fuck up and i can't always call, so yeah i have to get better at some point ahah.

On actual texting: Yeah that's my main struggle, i can't be fun through text (beside sending memes) which is annoying to me because IRL i'm a very fun guy without putting effort. Text is way too unnatural to me.
Like most of my joke/tease just come misunderstood because of the lack of emotion, or at best it's bland or uninteresting.

Girls have already told me i'm not the same IRL person as i'm by message.
Basically i don't want texting to be a chore anymore, i want to be at little bit smooth and natural

I agree but it's worth sharing this little bit: Some years ago I was sending out a bunch well-written Couchsurfing requests in Norway. Hit it off with a chick who wasn't able to host me at the time, though. She had moved back to Poland. We had this correspondence going on for a few months - looong well-crafted e-mails. Ended up visiting and staying with her and banging her.

It's a bit of an outlier case but maybe relevant for someone. I was her type so it was not that difficult to get her hooked over text.
