What is your experience if a woman doesn't reply to your first message "Hey [name], it was nice to meet you today. - [my name]"?
My daygame approaches look like this: She stops, direct approach (e.g. "I've just seen you walking down the street and I have to say you are really cute. I thought I have to say hi to you. I am [my name]..."), then we talk for a few minutes (building comfort), she interactes or even ask me questions, during an emotional high I try to compliment her and ask her out (e.g. "You seem to be really cool. How about going for a coffee in the next few days?"), if she says 'yes' I try to get her number, maybe talk for another minute and finally say goodbye. Then after about 3 hours I sent her the first text message (see above). Is it usually a bad sign if she doesn't reply? I mean it's not that I ask her something.
