Calls & Texts Texting an old girlfriend...

So I have been getting clues that an ex girlfriend of mine has been thinking about me and missing me a lot. I had been getting clues from the fact that her friends would seek me out and ask me how I was doing (which they would not talk to me unless she sent them) and that she had been texting me a few times recently which I ignored.

I dated this girl for a little over 2 years and we were pretty serious. However, our relationship ended very badly about 3 months ago due to some problems in how faithful the two of us were being towards the last few months. But I figured, hey why not? I consider texting the worst tool in my arsenal so I figured if things didn't go well, at the very least it would be a learning experience.

So here was the conversation....

Me: Heyy I've got an idea

Her: What's that?

Me: Let's get together soon, not just say some BS like oh yeah lets catch up sometime, but like actually hang out.

Her: I would like that...a lot!
Her: I'm busy tonight because it's my brother's birthday, and I'm spending the day with my dad tomorrow, but I'm free anytime after 1:00 on Sunday!

Me: Alright then. I had a feeling you would wanna see me **note I said this because I was trying to set the frame that she was missing me and was coming after me**

Her: Yeah I actually have wanted to see you.. but dont act like you dont wanna see me.. (;

Me: Hahaha I'm beginning to think that you REALLY do miss me (;

Her: Yes I do! Haha! And ur gonna say u dont miss me ?!

Me: **I then sent her a picture of an old necklace that she bought me when we were dating, I did this to ignore her question and to try to spark some more emotion on the thought of us being together**

Her: You have no idea how big I just smiled (

Me: I've been known to have that effect on beautiful women


Her: Aww ( haha yes you do! And why can't you just admit that you miss me?!

Me: Maybe I like to build suspense

Her: Haha oh I see!!

**ignored that for about 30mins**

Her: I miss you.
Me: Youre trying extremely hard to get me to say it back well fine, since youre trying so hard.... I miss you too (;

Her: ( are you home?

Me: Why do you ask?

Her: Because idk..haha..I was gonna see if you wanted to talk..

**then I just ignored that for another 30mins or so**
Me: Well I'm actually kind of busy right now but when we get together we can talk more!


She meant over a phone call. I ignored it because I thought things were going pretty well so far and I didnt really want to ruin that with a bad conversation over a call. I will admit that I am not that great with the whole texting game, but I was pleased with myself about that one.

Please give any feedback, positive or negative. I would like to correct my errors and know what I did right there. Thanks!!

Asked her out. She said, come over to pick her up, we didnt even end up leavingher house cuz we spent too much time in the bedroom She was wayyyy too excited to see me since it has been such a long time since we had been together.

Personally i feel like this is treading a fine line.

Yeah sex with an ex, great. But remember you guys have a past and ONE of you guys will have more of an interest level than the other.

If my last ex wanted to meet up (i had a similar situation like the OP, cept i was faithful the ex was a bit sketchy) I wouldn't.

I wouldn't give her the time of day (granted i've only been broken up 4 months now) so maybe its different in a few years lol

I had sex with 2 of my ex's, 1 ex i just got off and we looked at eachother and said this isn't gonna work, haven't talked since. I actually had sex with my 2nd to last ex right after i broke up with my most recent ex.

Sure sex was good, but i felt a tiny bit of emotion for her, even though i kept trying to hit her up as a booty call, eventually said screw it and left it lol.

Lesson IMHO: Don't dabble with ex's their ex's for a reason (unless its explicity known to both you are just fuck buddies)
