Hey all,

This is going to be in my journal, but I thought it might be interesting enough for the FR/LR section, too :)

I decided tonight to sarge a city I'd never been to before. It's fantastic and refreshing to try new unexplored areas. Anyways, after a few approaches, I approach a woman window staring into the windows of an antique shop; dressed in black, a green dress, and long brown hair. I opened direct and she was responding well: Compliments, cold reads, the mix...she reminded me of a woman I'd met before in my early days - that just slightly older look (think early 30's look). I told her we should grab a coffee, and she complies.

We swing over to the cafe and we order and sit down. I accidentally pushed my water forward so it spilled on her. Haha, woops. We continue talking, deep dived into her interest in political activism, how she's interning for her medical degree "up north", and her worldwide adventures. This is when we start talking about coincidences...how people we know seem to meet each other again and again, and meet friends of ours, too. I thought this was an interesting subject, as it had happened to me a few times before. She proceeds to discuss how those same coincidences magnetically draw her to certain locations, too. When she went "up north" the first time, she was sweeping the floor in a school she taught at. As she was throwing the dust outside, she saw a path of moss-covered stones leading to a bushy area...and it led her to find a "secret garden" that was made by an older relative of hers, and she asked me "what are the chances of that?"

But the story sounded so familiar to me...who is this woman? Why am I able to predict what she says next? The medical degree, her travels, her stories...? And then it hit me. Like a freaking semi-truck. This was the exact same girl I met in my Newbie Assignment on Day 17 - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1146#p6755. I had a hard time being present in the conversation for a second. I was going on the exact same date twice.

No close, since I wasn't able to get back to her place (I'll write this more in detail in my journal), but she told me she recognized me in the end. She noted how we met "earlier in the year"...

Insane how coincidences work.

Haha, this has always been one of my fears with approaching loads of women. At least she wasn't playing along all that time, which would have been twice of embarrassing. (Or was she?)

Very strange coincidence! Thanks for sharing

That's awesome! You should have asked her what she thinks of you now and how you've changed since that first time.

Nice story though and looking forward to reading more about it in your journal.

8 months down the road, wow! I have seen girls I approached a few months before, and sometimes it's taken me a while to remember who they are, but I recognize them in the end... I've never (yet) opened the same girl twice :))

Let me ask you something... in the earlier report you describe her face as "a definite turn-off"—since I don't think you're the sort of guy who'd approach girls he wasn't attracted to just for the hell of it, I'm assuming that this referred to a sexually appealing figure from behind, but disappointing facial features. Yes, that sometimes happens.

How did you find her this time? Had your appreciation for her beauty changed?

Also, the approach angle you describe is my dream (a girl standing watching something with her back to you), because it's so easy to open situationally and then go immediately direct, for example:

  • (standing behind the girl, in a deep, commanding voice) "What a marvelous view!"

(she turns to see who is speaking) "...and what a beautiful person watching it! What's your name?"
Longing to have this setup so I can make it happen! :)
