Not sure if there was a topic like this, but I thought it would be fun and useful to make a list of stuff women say in relationship which aren't exactly lies, but you shouldn't quite believe. Like:

"I'm not like other girls." - She is like other girls.

"You shouldn't buy me flowers." - You should totally buy her flowers when appropriate (anniversary etc). Same for parfumes and all the other classic girl stuff.

"I don't care about marriage." - Oh, yes she does. Or she will in due course.

"I don't want kids." - could be true if she's 35+, but otherwise, many change their mind with age.

"I'll never be in an open relationship" - fucks you for years while knowing you sleep with other girls

"I'll never chase a man" - initiates contact almost 100% of the time

"He's just a friend, don't worry about him" - need I say more

"I'm fine" - she's not

"I don't do hookups" - she doesn't do hookups with you OR proceeds to fuck you with less than 20 minutes of facetime

"I'm picky" - settles for a man she's not that attracted to

"I'm not picky" - only dates very attractive men and gets mad they won't commit

"I love you" - right now

"You're funny" - you're probably not

"I wish you were more like Beta Billy" - please don't be like him unless you love dry vagina


TLDR; Don't take what they say too seriously. They are just expressing how they feel in the moment and nothing more
