Any ideas on how to be aware in the present? When im out of the house i've noticied im always think ALOT. Like im not 100% focused on whats ahead of me, im usually lost in my mind. Sometimes i dwell in the thoughts in my head and day dream, i almost got in a car accident recently because i was lost in my mind and change lanes without even knowing and i have done it more than once. This also affects me with women. Im often lost in my head and the thoughts i get are usually negative and it prevents me from meeting women. Ive been reading Chases articles for two years and his ebook but i haven't gone out to meet girls on a regular basis. Hopefully you guys understand me question. Thanks in advance!

Stop writing and do Yoga. Words won't make you live in the moment

Go to gym and do workouts that need your 100% attention. Play the music you really like and do your workout and relax. That gives you the feel of living in the present. Then try to hold on to it and apply it to everyday life. Hope this helps. That's how I do it anyway. Keep yourself busy which would also prevent you from overthinking. Find a new hobby, start learning something etc

I have yet to try it, but will be implimenting it soon:

Meditation

Huge with the RSD guys and is definitely one of the best known ways to be entirely focused on the moment and releasing your inner thought.

Yes, agreed. Try the one where you have to keep counting to 4.

Also, personally I have found one starts to live in the moment a lot more after age 35.

Could you elaborate on that please? I'm curious at that comment.

Well I can only speak for myself (but then again a lot of age-related change does seem to be quite universal).

It is just something I have observed - I just do my thing these days without analysing it and without being self-conscious about it or reflecting on it.

I would guess it is linked to:

Having a better idea of and acceptance of who you are, so your not questioning or doubting yourself all the time.
You just stop worrying about baggage from your past, you just go "Aaa shit happens, who cares?"
You are better at coping with things as you have more experience of life so you therefore don't worry about things so much.
You maybe become less ambitious as well which means you stop thinking so much about the future.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
