This was the beginning of the second article I was going to post "How to Push Through Adversity to Reach Your Goals"
This one is, more or less, the why about how some of these techniques work as well as explain more about how your brain in general operates. The first tip that I created, was this one: https://www.skilledseducer.com/thre...g-harder-using-anime-and-avoid-burnout.26147/
It's about the Rock Lee Method of Improvement. One of the few things that I'll be talking about over the next few threads I'll be making about pushing through adversity. This one is more about the theory side of things, hope you enjoy!
One that filters out 99+% of reality because otherwise, we would quickly and easily become overwhelmed. Our subconscious mind filters in what we tell it is important while filtering everything that it doesn’t think we need to know about, out. You can think of it as a bodyguard at a concert working for the lead singer. The bodyguard screens the geeks out while filtering in the gorgeous super sluts.
For example, while reading this sentence you will suddenly become aware of your own breathing just because I mentioned it. But before reading that sentence you weren’t aware of your breathing, were you?
And yet, breathing is kind of important. Pretty sure you’d die without it. However, you don’t notice your own breathing because your subconscious mind takes care of it for you and filters out that information. The same way it does with your heartbeat as well as a whole lot of other things.
Here’s another example, when you’re thinking about buying a certain car suddenly every other guy on the road seems to have just bought that same car! What happened!? Did everyone suddenly develop good taste?
Even though it seems like that, it’s not actually the case. Instead, it’s that suddenly you’re just noticing those cars on the road.
And you can experiment with this in your own life. Pick a random car that costs around 20-40 thousand dollars US and try to count how many times you see that car. I’d be willing to bet money that it’s higher than you’ve ever noticed before. Which is, ultimately, what I think “The Secret” and “The Law of Attraction” ultimately boil down to. This last example is for the good seducers out there; how long did it take you to start noticing women throwing you approach invitations that you never knew existed?
The reason for this is that when you develop your own personal goals and force yourself to focus on them they buffer and filter a lot of crap out of your life, just like the bodyguard at the concert.
Basically, obsessing over one or two things in your life makes life extremely simple. Not necessarily easy, but simple.
You can think of a lot of the Western world’s problems as ‘nothing else to focus on in life’. Basically, a lack of purpose. You’ll notice that a lot of problems we have boils down to an epidemic of listless, drifting and entitled sheeple who are just floating through life.
You can even think of some of your own problems in this same way. Girlfriend didn’t text you back? Friends forgot to invite you to a birthday party? Your FWB suddenly giving you extra drama? Those are things that can be filtered out and help you focus on your goals (as well as getting your mind off of your girly problems, which can also sometimes be solved just by rubbing one out, it helps more than I, personally, ever thought it could).
Those things can still hurt in the moment, but ultimately, thinking like this allows you to move on faster than most other people can. Here’s my own example:
Having said that, you’ll also recognize that once I talk about a girl that I liked and it didn’t work out, I never bring her up again.
Instead, I may talk about another new woman that I liked that it didn’t work out with. And then you’ll never hear about her again either.
But what happens with most guys?
What happens with most guys is that they get hung up on the same woman for weeks, months, or even years at a time! If that’s happened to you then there’s no shame in that, it’s happened to me as I’m sure it’s happened to nearly every man on the planet. However, it’s important that we learn how to filter out this annoying heartbreak when we can. The way that we do that, is that we force ourselves to focus on the things that we want to.
For me, that’s focusing on learning daygame as a skill rather than bringing any particular or specific woman into my life. Yeah, it sucks when I get rejected by someone I liked, but it’s not something that I get hung up on. The reason for that, is because I have a much broader focus. Something that I’m going to show you how to do over the next few threads I'll make.
When you get your priorities down like this, this skill will act like the bodyguard I mentioned above; it’ll screen out the geeks (anything not important) in your life so that the only things left are the super sluts (what you want to focus on). It’ll filter out the unimportant things in your life so that the only thing left is what directly serves your objective and/or your purpose, whatever they are (plus, it'll help give you more motivation as well because life will become simpler, thought no necessarily easier).
So I’m going to ask you again, what do you want in life?
However, there are some rules for your list. They have to be goals that you will work towards achieving that will ideally take at least a month to accomplish. That means that they can be a skill that you want to build or a goal that you can measure that you want to reach.
Some examples that other people have used in the past, just to give you an idea:
So take a moment and do that right now. Don’t take too long to do this, just a few minutes is fine and don’t think about it too much. Whatever your first impression is go with it.
After you’ve got your list take a few minutes to think about which ones are most important to you. Order them from most important to least important. So if you have ten items on your list you would rank them from one to ten; if you have five items then you would rank them from one to five and etc.
Got it?
Good, now forget about everything ranked third and below your list. Because for the next three months you’re only going to focus on things that are related to the two most important things on your list.
For me, here is my list:
For the next thread I'll be going into another one of the tips, but I do also want to mention that it's cool to take breaks when you need them. These guidelines are about creating an obsession to make rapid gains in whatever you are trying to make gains in. However, sometimes an obsession doesn't serve your purpose and you'd be better served focusing on something else for a bit and stepping away. That's what I'm doing with daygame, though it is still one of the two more important things to me in my life on getting down, it's been moved to second place. Because honestly, I suck at it and it's really pissing me off lmao. Even I have my limits on how many ego beatings I can take before I need a break.

Your Brain’s Bodyguard
Our brain is an amazing machine.

How to Ignore Life’s Stress
Here, I want to ask you; what do you want in life? If your life were amazing, what would it look like and what kind of person would you be? You don't need to answer it right away, but it's a question to keep in the back of your mind for when we get to the end of this thread...The reason for this is that when you develop your own personal goals and force yourself to focus on them they buffer and filter a lot of crap out of your life, just like the bodyguard at the concert.

An Example of Priorities and Why They’re Important
If you’ve read any of my daygame woes you’ll know that every once in a while I’ll talk about a girl that I liked that it didn’t work out with. Something that I’m trying not to do as much anymore because nobody likes a whiner, but it’s on there nonetheless and we can learn from my mistakes.Having said that, you’ll also recognize that once I talk about a girl that I liked and it didn’t work out, I never bring her up again.
Instead, I may talk about another new woman that I liked that it didn’t work out with. And then you’ll never hear about her again either.

The First Step to Controlling Your Mind
Take a moment to create a list of things that are important to you. However, there are some rules for your list. They have to be goals that you will work towards achieving that will ideally take at least a month to accomplish. That means that they can be a skill that you want to build or a goal that you can measure that you want to reach.
Some examples that other people have used in the past, just to give you an idea:
- Hit a promotion at work
- Land that first client for a business
- Get a date through online dating
- Losing 10 pounds
- Set up a budget and start saving for a vacation
- Etc.
- Making daygame work (judged by setting up dates that will lead somewhere)
- Getting two more clients through life coaching (judged by them wanting to sign up for at least an hour every week)
For the next thread I'll be going into another one of the tips, but I do also want to mention that it's cool to take breaks when you need them. These guidelines are about creating an obsession to make rapid gains in whatever you are trying to make gains in.
