In two short examples, these are the impressions comparing other parts of the world:
"Oh, that girl is cute." - "Oh, that boy is cute. Now he talks to me. Let’s see where this goes!"
… to Europe:
"Oh, that girl is cute." - "Oh, that boy is cute. Now he talks to me. Maybe he isn’t that great after all …"
It’s almost as if the simple fact of opening causes her to second guess.
I used to attribute this to the effect of being the rare foreigner or me behaving more naturally when away.
Today, I am starting to doubt both assumptions.
Can anyone relate or explain?
